About Mrs. Teaspoon

Our fabulous paper products supplier, Fine Invitations, did an amazing job with our place cards. They really incorporated our squiggles into the reception.

Even our cake had squiggles! Although, I expected them to be a lot more of an impact on the cake, being the same colour as the ribbon but in hindsight—whatever.

Our tables, with the chair-covers that we didn’t even hesitate to go with, really looked beautiful. The centrepieces turned out exactly as we wanted them!

It was amazing to walk into the room the day of the wedding whilst everyone was at the cocktail hour and to take it all in. The bouquets were very popular at the end of the night, as I went around to each table, I told people they could take the centrepieces, but they had to leave the vases!

Do you have a detail from your invitations that you’ll carry throughout your wedding decor? What is it?

I like tying in the same pattern. I’m using the border and font from the invites on the programs and menus.

Everything looks beautiful! :)

I remember putting SO MUCH EFFORT into how each of the tables was going to look – but I was so chilled out/preoccupied with BEING MARRIED OMG that I hardly even glanced at them when we were introduced into the room. Thank goodness they turned out okay!

My wedding invitations will be a “normal font” so everyone can read it. Fancy fonts and colors are hard to read for people with bad eyesight. Simple but elegant. I don’t know about menus and programs, because it’s a simple ceremony and lunch or dinner, not an extravagant affair.

@Ann: Glad I could help!

@RoxanneV:Good idea, our names were quite fancy, but the rest of the information on our invites and programs was in times new roman or something similar I think – we had them grandmother approved because we thought the names might be too hard to read – her response “who else would I be getting an invitation from, I know its you two!”

@Mrs. Pony: I loved them! I said to Mr T when we walked through – oooh, look how pretty are the centrepieces! He didnt really care :-)
