On January 1st at four in the afternoon, Mr. R and I went to back to the spot where we got married exactly one year earlier. With Jessica, our wedding photographer, in tow, we set up a little picnic in front of our tree, cut into the top of our wedding cake, and got a few fabulous One Year Later photos:

This is me, nixing the cake smash.

Once I knew I was scott free, of course, I had to.

Victory!

And giggles.

I painted this canvas with a mash-up of lines from each of our vows.

I love the floofyness (it’s a word) of baby’s breath.

I also set up a little secret spot around the corner. Jessica was impressed.

I was so glas we were able to re-hang our heart on the tree. The original nail was still there!

We are, but my mom, who was our photographer, was really sick right before our wedding so we only have a few wedding pics and those are not really good. So we are doing anniverary pics in our wedding cloths so that we have some pics of them.

Yours are adorable! I will bookmark them.

I love the idea of the tree. The wedding and the one year anniversary pictures…
Would be cool if you could have one of those “school photos” frame for the pictures, once a year, hang the heart and take a picture, and you could have at least 12 years of pictures in there! OR have hubby create a frame just for these special photos!
