Mrs. Marmalade's Picture
Mrs. Marmalade, Norwalk, CT/Raleigh, NC Age and Occupation: 27, Administrative Assistant Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Army Officer Engagement Date: December 31, 2009 Wedding Date: July 2011 Venue: Old Cadet Chapel/Highlands Country Club About Me: I'm a Tri-State area "lady," through and through. A big chunk of my life has been split between NYC and Connecticut, and I'm finally heading down south to live with Mr. Marmalade. Our long distance relationship has been one adventure after the next, we've spent time in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia, thanks to his military career. Next to Mr. Marmalade, my loves include live music, useless trivia, shoes, design, and my crazy half-tiger kitty, Oliver. I have a passion for food and wine, and I've been known to travel long distances to get my hands on the best meals. I come from a tight-knit big fat Greek Ecuadorian family---we're loud, we talk with our hands, and we spend hours talking loudly with our hands over large meals. I'm going to miss them so much as I pack up and begin my life, far away from home. But with Mr. Marmalade by my side, I'm ready to take on whatever may come. Next up: our wedding!

I’m A Pusher

Yes it’s true.

I'm A Pusher : wedding raleigh videography 004mgi 004MGI_

But I don’t push people to challenge themselves like Ms. Norburry. No, I’m a full-blown pusher of addictions. It was an accident, swear. But in sharing the struggle to find a videographer with BM KuBee, I may have caused her to be hooked on wedding trailers. Gasp.

Seriously, KuBee has emailed me links to videos and written things like:

“Oh my gosh, girl, I’ve been lying in bed watching trailers all day! Check out ‘Cindy and Mark.’ It’s my favorite—just wait until the 0:30 mark.”

I really love this girl. Talk about supportive! To be fair, she may have already been in bed, nursing a hangover. But still. KuBee—this post is for you.

And the video that started it all?

Full disclosure: This was our original venue, it’s how I found it to begin with. And if I’m being totally honest, it’s a little bittersweet to watch this beautiful video again.

One more for the road?

Ugh, so so SO amazing. I am a huge fan of Stillmotion, but sadly they are way out of reach for us. So, armed with these videos, I started searching for a videographer we could afford. Man, can I just say that these trailers didn’t make it easy?

How about you? Did you fall for a vendor that was out of reach? Were you able to hire your dream vendors? Anyone else slightly addicted to clips like this?

They are beautiful!! I was shocked when I realized how much videography cost, and the more I saw videos (like the ones above) I would regret it forever if I didn’t get it - luckily my fiance agreed and we booked an amazing videographer. Watching videos like these reaffirm that decision!

I totally got addicted the other night doing the exact same thing. I have just sent the link to my mum so no doubt she will do the same.

Just love to see people so happy

I’m so tempted but I can’t watch these - I get so envious!! They are just gorgeous. I fell in love with a videographer due to one of his highlight reels, but he was just way too far out of our price range. So I continue to watch that same video over. And over. And over. ::swoon::
