I have SO much to share with you guys! Posts are piling up.
I also have quite a few recaps ready to go and I cannot wait to share them: Coming up is of one of the best ever moments of our whole day (when Mr. Brooch busted out in song at the ceremony—ahhh!). I’m trying to figure out how to upload the video we have into Blogger so you can see and hear for yourself his amazing solo!! Anybody have any ideas or suggestions how this gets done?
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s true. Our one-year anniversary is right around the corner! Where in the world did the time go? It’s flown by!
We had big plans to move or to go somewhere extravagant for our anniversary, but it’s going to be difficult to pull anything like that off with work, and get this: we have two weddings to attend right around our anniversary! One is March 25th and the other is April 7th! I guess it’s that time of year. <3
What I think we will do is an anniversary shoot! I’ve always wanted to do one, and befriending so many talented photographers through Making Things Happen has furthered my drive to do this!
Soo. I’m completely thrilled and ecstatic to share (I’m pretty sure..) that we are getting an amazeballs photographer for the occasion…Cyn Kain Photography! Ahh!
Breathe.
Breathe.
I know…this is nuts, right? Well, I am seriously SO stoked and counting the days to meet this lovely lady in person! We’ve emailed a bit and she’s incredibly sweet! I think we had an instant connection, which is always nice and oh so important to have with your photographer! She mentioned briefly brainstorming a “theme” and, true to form, I’ve been obsessing over different ideas ever since! Cynthia is crazy talented and I know she has some ideas, but I thought I would open the discussion to you all to see what you thought!
Searching Pinterest and Weddingbee has not helped narrow the idea pot! Look at all the gorgeous, fun, and creative anniversary shoots I’ve stumbled upon:

One of the best anniversary shoots I’ve ever seen was Mrs. Toucan’s two-year anniversary photo shoot. I remember it going out right before I got married and my mouth literally dropped! SO incredibly adorable!

I think what I love most is the props!
We didn’t get to use props for our engagement session, and I’ve always regretted that. I remember blogging in the weeks leading up to it and hoping—just hoping—we’d come up with a concept, but we never did. Don’t get me wrong, I loved our e-session, but there’s something really fun and trendy about styled shoots, like this sweet, sweet s’mores idea!

Gina is one of my favorite photographers; her work speaks volumes to me. I feel like I know the people she’s photographing, which is so cool! She’s got an amazing God-loving spirit, too!
Another favorite anniversary shoot is Rhiannon from Hey Gorgeous Events by Elizabeth in Love. This gold dress is—there are no words actually! I just love it. Love it. Love it. Love it.

There’s less props in these photos, but the whole milk and anniversary cake (seen on SMP) is gorgeousness times ten! I love it! And um…how freakin’ adorable is this?? What better way to say it’s our one year? I die!

I also have this idea of including our pup, Rocky, in the photos! Cynthia LOVES dogs so I know she’d totally go for this! I also stumbled upon this family shoot she did with two adorable pugs!
