I didn’t dare think of what writing this post would be like, because I was so afraid I’d never get that chance. Now I find I’m not sure what to say. Don’t worry…that’s pretty rare, and it won’t last long!

When I saw the email from Pengy in my inbox, I stared at it for about 15 seconds before I was brave enough to open it. I was dreading the rejection. But as I read, I broke out in a silent celebration—since I was sitting at my desk at work. I ran out into the showroom to call Mr. Archer and tell him right away!

So who are the Archers?

Well, we’re college sweethearts who are still nauseatingly infatuated.

We hold hands and smooch in public, and I’m pretty sure I’d roll my eyes if I saw us walking down the street. In some ways we are exactly the same—we love all things delicious, laughing, and each other. But I’m high-strung while he is low-key, so we balance each other well. We spend our time together cooking and eating, watching people and our favorite TV shows, traveling and trying new things, and giggling at each other. Oh yeah…and planning our wedding. We’re 10 months into a 17-month engagement, planning a destination wedding on a budget for 140 of our nearest and dearest. We’re two kids with stars in our eyes who fell in love and decided to grow up together, and it’s been working well for us so far!

I’m sure you’re wondering why we chose the Archer icon—no, it’s not just because she’s adorable and a brunette like me. Like I said, I was really afraid to get invested, so although I squealed when I saw the magic/fairy-tale icons, I didn’t consider my options because I didn’t want to be heartbroken. I was talking with Mr. A, weighing my different options. We were debating Crown and Beanstalk when he piped up, “You should be Miss Archer. If I didn’t propose soon you would have shot me in the ass.” Typical yet true—sounds like a good enough reason to me! Also, I read The Hunger Games for the first time yesterday morning while home sick and trying to take my mind off waiting to hear from Weddingbee, and I am obsessed.
