A while ago I showed you my awesome gift to Mr Elk for the wedding (remember those Indiana Jones cuff links?!). Anyway, since Mr Elk knows about his gift I decided to ask him what he was thinking of getting me for our wedding day. His response? Blank stare into space, followed by a mumbled “I didn’t realize I had to get you something.” Of course, he was totally on board with giving me a wedding gift, so long as it was something I really wanted!
At first, I was thinking jewelry all the way. I still haven’t decided what jewels will help to make up my bridal look, so I thought bridal earrings would make the perfect gift from Mr Elk!
I’ve been sort of obsessed with Kendra Scott earrings for a while now, and these have been high on my list of possible wedding day jewelry:

Even though I’ve been eying them for a while, I’m still a little hesitant. I’m definitely more of a white gold/silver sort of girl, and while I really like the gold in these earrings I’m not sure they suit me.
Unable to make a decision regarding my wedding day jewelry, I started to think of other things that Mr Elk could get me as a wedding day present. And then it hit me:

What I have been dying to get my greedy paws on for the longest time is a smart phone! And not just any smart phone, but a beautiful white iPhone! I told Mr Elk my desires and he seemed to think that would make a great wedding gift.
And then, just a week after we decided on my wedding gift, my current phone decided to die on me. Being phoneless for a day was a bit like losing contact with the outside world! I was actually nervous driving without a working phone, just in case something happened! And so, 2 months out from the wedding I got an early wedding gift! It means that I won’t actually receive a gift from Mr Elk on our wedding day, but I don’t care! My phone is AWESOME!
Are you exchanging gifts with your FI on (or before) your wedding day? Was he/she even aware that couples typically exchange wedding gifts?
Yeah my husband had no idea you Should do that either lOl. But on the wedding day- I walked away w a gorgeous rose gold watch, and he walked away w a 25yo scotch 
My FI has no idea. I’ve already asked my sister to talk to him about it and fill him in. She is just going to start it with “what are you getting Kelly?” then when she gets the blank stare, she’ll fill him in. LOL
Ohhh pretty, shiny new iphone!! LOVE IT! Mr. C had NO CLUE he should get a wedding day gift. I told him I’m getting him one so he better step up. 
for your earrings, the Kendra Scott website has a customize section, where you can get those earrings in silver, and with whatever gem combination you pick (it could be the same one or it could be your wedding colours)
I have stressed and will continue to stress to my FH that we need to exchange gifts. I have no idea what he will get but he is the best with gifts. I found the perfect gift for my music lover!

I gave the Mr a pair of Batman cufflinks to wear on our day, but they were part of his our-last-dating-anniversary present. So he had them 4 months early. We didn’t really do ‘wedding gifts’ per se.
Oh goodness gracious- I had no idea people did this. I am terrible at gifts and my man always gives something awesome. Now I’ll have to start thinking- thanks for the heads up!!
I have some Kendra Scott jewelry I ordered- I totally love it. It never fails to get me compliments.
Did you check out the “color bar”- you can customize the jewelry, making it silver if you want, with any gems. They might not have the exact earrings, but I’m sure they have something super similar.
