About Mrs. Coyote

Triple Threat

March 30th, 2012 @ 10:45 am by Mrs. Coyote

I’ve mentioned a few times that I will be having two maids of honor. I think I always knew I was going to have two, even before Mr. Coyote was in the picture. I don’t have any sisters, but I can say that MOH A and MOH D come pretty damn close. I met BM D in 5th grade and BM A a few years later. For all of middle school and high school we were completely inseparable. Sleepovers, movies, trips to the mall, even vacations… Whatever it was we did it together. We were the epitome of BFFs.

Of course after graduation we went our separate ways, but we kept in touch and made sure to visit each other as often as possible.

Right before our high school graduation in 2004.

We all still live in New York state, but it’s amazing how large the state actually is:

I am the first in my little trio to be getting married and I have to say that it’s been quite an adjustment for me. My girls are more than happy for me and love Mr. Coyote almost as much as they love me (sorry buddy, but I always come first when it comes to these ladies!). Even so, it’s definitely been a transition to move from single-girl-friend to engaged-woman and eventually to that old-married-lady that goes to bed at 8PM and never hangs out anymore (just kidding, that’s never gonna happen). And so, in honor of my two very best friends and of losing my singledom, I am planning the ultimate sleepover party.

Mr. Coyote and I have already decided that we will spend the night before the wedding apart so I booked one of the amazing suites at our venue’s hotel and invited the girls to stay with me. I know I will be a bundle of nerves and honestly…no one knows me better than these ladies do. I couldn’t ask for anything better than to have my two besties spend the night with me; drink some wine with me, make me laugh and cuddle with me until my wedding day.

Yes, we cuddle. No shame here!

I may not have been blessed with sisters, but I definitely scored the next best thing. My life is way better when these girls are in it.

How will you be spending the night before your wedding? Are you spending it with your significant other? Alone? With family or friends?

Mr. Wiz and I are spending the night before the wedding together, because neither of us would get a wink of sleep if the other weren’t there, haha. But secretly I am so jealous that I’ll miss out on all the girly-hangout time! Enjoy your girlfriend sleepover, it will be a blast :)

I am doing a sleepover as well with my MOH and some of my bridesmaids. I don’t have a sister either but feel my MOH is practically my sister! You and your friends are going to have so much fun!

I’m spending the 2 nights before the wedding with my biffle/BM (and possibly my sister/MOH and cousin/BM, depending on whether or not they want to sleep with their s.o’s) before moving to the honeymoon suite after the wedding, and I can’t wait. Like many girls, I have trouble sleeping when my fiance isn’t there…EXCEPT for when I have girly sleepovers with my biffle, lol. Enough wine and giggles can put anybody to sleep. Plus, she’s a pretty good cuddler too :P

Aw, I spent the night at my dad’s to save some money, but I wish I would have shelled out the money for a hotel to hang out with my girls. This makes me miss my girls, yours sound like wonderful ladies to have in your life!

I plan to stay the night with my girls. My BM’s consist of sisters and friends, so there will be so many laughs. This way, they can keep me sane the night before.

I’m having a huge sleepover party at my mom’s house! I’m inviting all of my bridesmaids, though I suspect my sister will not be staying over what with her toddler and all, and my photographer, who is one of my friends from college. I’m really, really excited!

I have two MOHs, too… tho technically one Maid and one Matron. I’m sure the Matron will want to be home in bed with her husband… but I’ve already (jokingly) told my other MOH that she WILL be hanging with me the night before the big day. Not sure she realizes yet that I’m serious, but I have 16 months to remedy that so I think we’re OK. :)

One of my bridesmaids and I just discussed this – I have a ‘slumber party’ vision with all of my girls (who really, could ALL have been my maid of honor and done a fabulous job, because they’re all so very special to me) with me since it wouldn’t be the same without them. I said it wouldn’t be a requirement. . .but they know what I mean ;) Anyway, I LOVE that you are doing this as well, and congrats on having two of the best girlfriends ever.

Good idea!! I am so excited to spend the night before my wedding with my MOH and BM’s too! It’s great to focus on your girls before such a big life change. ;)

I agree with Miss Wizard. I don’t think staying with my maids would lead to good sleep. Luckily, our wedding is later in the day, so I can hang out with my betches (as we call each other) all day long :)
