I’m Leaving on A Jet Plane…

April 6th, 2012 @ 4:51 pm by Mrs. Eagle

..And I do know when I’ll be back again! (May 1st :) )

Today I begin my journey: a month-long trip to Tanzania, Africa. I’ll be collecting research data there  for my graduate degree. I’ll definitely be eating as many as the local foods I can, playing with all the kids, and watching the beautiful African sunset every night. Oh, and taking a vacation to Zanzibar Island and going on Safari in the Serengeti every weekend. I can’t wait!

But, I am so sad to leave Fiancee Eagle. I shed only a few tears in bed this morning, but I have a feeling I’ll shed a few more before I step on the plane. Since the beginning of our relationship, we’ve maybe spent five days apart. And during those five days, we were constantly texting and talking on the phone. I won’t have the luxury of my iPhone working in Africa, and I’ll only have intermittent e-mail access. I’m going to miss her SO much, but I know that it will be amazing when I get home, seeing each other again. I can’t wait for that moment!

So, I won’t be around the hive as much in the next month. I’ll still be blogging a bit, as I don’t think I could stay away from this wonderful community for too long. Plus, I take four  flights to get to Zanzibar. I’ll be writing a LOT!

See you soon Hive!

xoxo Miss Eagle

Have a safe and amazing trip Eagle! What an amazing opportunity!

A few years ago I took a 5 week trip to Italy without Mr. Coyote. We were living together at the time so it was very difficult to be away from him for so long. We too had never been apart for more than a few days at a time up until that point. There were lots of tears before I left, but I’m so glad I went. I seriously had the trip of a lifetime! And our reunion was one of the happiest and sweetest memories I’ve ever had. I still remember it perfectly to this day!

Have fun and enjoy Tanzania. I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Wish you have such a great time (as much as possible without your beloved). But trust me you will feel great when you will back and met her, share your trips – have a long long talk :)

Good luck to you! Have a safe and wonderful trip! This is a wonderful opportunity for you, and I know your fiance understands. My hubby is actually set to work in Kenya for a month this fall. I am sad that he will be away a month, but it is such an amazing experience that of course I am also so excited for him!
