I love, love this pensive picture of my sweet bride Elizabeth in her gorgeous Claire Pettibone gown, looking at the sea from Rancho Dos Pueblos.

The intricate beading, empire waist, and the delicate cap sleeves made Elizabeth feel like she’d just stepped out of the pages of Pride & Prejudice

For a splash of color, and her something blue, Elizabeth picked these blue shoes by Poetic License. Her bracelet was her something borrowed and her earrings were her something new (vintage baubles from 33 Jewels). To see the rest of Elizabeth’s wedding check out the Style Me Pretty magazine!

If you could compare your wedding dress (or your ideal wedding dress) to a book, what would it be?

Mine reminds me of Pride & Prejudice! :)

I’m a huge Jane Austen fan and wanted to find a dress with that old world feel, yet still be a little bit modern. I love my wedding dress so much and cannot wait to wear that beauty.

Humm.. interesting! I am a bookworm and a classics lover therefore very romantic :-) . My dress is simple, elegant, light, romantic with a sparkle and a little old-fashioned..maybe Anne of Green Gables?? :D I am a HUGE fan

The Trend: Lace Sleeves
Since April bridal market fell just a few weeks before the Royal Wedding, several designers were inspired by Kate Middleton and what she might wear. For a great majority, this meant lace sleeves—a sleeker, more contemporary version of the voluminous sleeves that engulfed the young Princess Diana so many years ago. Turns out the recently dubbed Duchess of Cambridge did end up wearing lace sleeves to her wedding, and it’s only a matter of time before this regal look catches on in a big way. We can’t wait.
