About Mrs. Bracelet

What is considered a good pair of bridal earrings? I’m thinking pearls will go well with my dress, so I’ve come up with the following options:

Completing the Outfit: Earrings : wedding accessories germany jewelry rapid city Earring

{personal image}

Option a) is the most versatile option. Pearl studs are classic and can be re-worn in everyday situations.

Options b) and c)  are fancier, so they might not work for everyday wear. However, there are many different looks to choose from.

Option b) would add some bling depending on the top design of the earring.

I like dangly earrings, as in option c), as long as they’re not heavy. But I’m worried that they will move a lot and look like they’re flying around when taking pictures.

I have a pair of tiiiny pearls studs that are very…erm…not visible—which is why I wanted them. I would need something more visible for the wedding. Studs are easy to locate, but when it comes to drop earrings…there are so many to choose from! In my search for earrings, these are some that I have liked:

Awhile ago Dogeared had a pair like the bottom right one, but with waaay more pearls. I even bookmarked it, but it has since been discontinued. Cue sad face. (I did check, and they’re still available through some other online vendors.)

I still have plenty of time to decide what type of earrings I want to wear for the wedding. I’ll keep you posted on which one I end up choosing. :)

What earrings are you considering for you wedding-day look?

PS: Does anyone have feedback on the very dangly type earrings?

I like the look of pearl drop earrings, but pearls in your wedding day are considered bad luck in mexico.

I love the second and last ones! I think they are perfect dangles and they don’t look too heavy. I’m a big earring girl, though.

Unless you’re swinging your head from side to side or doing some serious dance moves at the reception, dangle earrings really don’t swing all that much. :) I wear them a lot in everyday life, since my hair is so short!

I LOVE those earrings on the bottom right.. it’s so sad that they have been discontinued. I’m also a big fan of long, dangly earring and will be sporting them on the wedding day.. honestly didn’t even think of the possible effect they would have in pictures. If it helps at all, though, I wear pretty long ones A LOT and also take A LOT of pictures.. haven’t had a weird one yet!

I think the dangles are a great idea! I like the pair from Zales in the top row and the pair from Macy’s in the bottom row. You also have to take into consideration how jewelry photographs- many brides opt for dainty jewelry and while nice in person, they barely show up in photos. Think overall picture!

Future Husband and I both have stretched ears; his are 1/2″ and mine are 3/4″. We’ve decided to be a bit twee and probably get matching plugs. :D

I love the dangle earrings, and I doubt they will look strange in pictures, unless you’re doing some crazy dance moves :)

@Miss Toadstool: How interesting!
@Mrs. Hyena & @Miss Fox: Thanks for the feedback.
@ddavila2001: Exactly my point – I am a super dainty jewelry wearer, but I know I need something more statement for the wedding. :D

@Miss Toadstool:

Miss Toadstool – yes I am having this problem right now. My mom wants to give me a pearl necklace made from her mom´s pearl necklace, but my Colombian mother in law wants to give me diamond earrings to wear and says that pearls on my wedding day are bad luck!! What to do??

I like Option 2 the best personally.

if you are looking to get nice pearl earrings, check out the Honora brand. I think that they have a lovely selection of all 3 types that would look fabulous- plus you can get colored pearls if oyu wanted a little accent:

Ooh my faves are the bow ones, bottom left! I love fancy earrings, especially if you’re having your hair up. x

I would say, go with the studs if you’re planning on wearing a statement necklace or are going to wear your hair down. I would do option b if your necklace is more subdued and delicate. And then I would pick c if you were planning on wearing your hair up and/or no necklace! But honestly, all of the options are lovely and you can’t go wrong with pearls… very classic and timeless ;)

I love the Macy’s ones with the bows! But I agree with Beanstalk; make sure your necklace and earrings don’t compete.

Have you considered pearl cluster earrings?

These are the ones that I got–just a little bit sparkly, and big enough to be noticeable in photos:
