Mrs. Treasure's Picture
Mrs. Treasure, Chicago Age and Occupation: 24, Law Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Equity Analyst Engagement Date: July 30, 2011 Wedding Date: September 2012 Venue: Saint James Chapel at Quigley Prep/Murphy Auditorium About Me: I was born and raised in Indiana, but now live in sweet home Chicago. I'm a third-year law student and aspiring trial lawyer, which means Mr. T never wins an argument. Other than Mr. T, I love singing, exploring the Chicago restaurant scene, and Notre Dame football. We met in a musical (just like my parents!) and after 4 years together, we are excited to be planning our urban "destination" wedding.
About Mrs. Treasure

Our wedding is downtown, and with the chapel and reception venue only a few blocks apart, walking will be the primary mode of transportation for our guests. But because we’ll be running all over town taking pictures, the wedding party will be riding in style.

We could’ve rented a party bus or Hummer limousine, but nothing’s quite as quintessentially Chicago as a trolley.

Plus, we can bring drinks and toast our brand new marriage while cruising through town! Ain’t no party like a trolley party…

We’re doing a trolley as well! One of my favorite decisions thus far.

I love it! Please sing some of the trolly song while riding around on your big day. You and your bridal party are going to have a blast!

The trolley is definitely the way to go, it will be so fun hanging out with everyone on it on your wedding day!

We’re having a trolley too, the Raleigh Trolley named Dolly! SO adorable! :) Our wedding will also be in downtown and the chapel is only a few blocks from the reception. If nothing else, we want our guests to say our wedding was “memorable” – not elegant, classy, but MEMORABLE (not that elegant and classy are bad things, but we are hoping our wedding will be one of the most memorable our guests have ever been to)! We are having lots of non-traditional touches (like a trolley) and I love that you’re doing this, as well!

That’s so cool! We’re not switching venues between the ceremony and reception so we don’t get to do anything awesome like this!

I am so obsessed with trolleys and the awesome wedding photos you can have! We actually don’t need any transportation on our day so the trolley was quickly crossed off the list. :( I will have to live vicariously through you Treasure! :D

We’re using a trolley as well! Our hotel, ceremony, and reception are near to each other, but a little too long a walk for guests in high heels, so we’re providing a shuttle.

I’m trying to figure out if we can use it as the shuttle but also have a grand departure from the reception? What are you doing?

@Zusie: We are only using the trolley while we take pictures between the ceremony and reception. When our reception is over, we will just walk back to the hotel. No grand exit for us.

We’re taking the TTC streetcar! Our venue it 3 blocks from our church – so we’re doing photos in the area then hopping a streetcar to the venue!
