About Mrs. Hermit Crab

It’s your last opportunity to sign up for your local event happening THIS WEEKEND! Email the project leader in your area for more details :)

The First Ever Hive-Wide Weddingbee Weekend of Action

Saturday and Sunday, June 23 & 24, 2012

For the first time ever, we are organizing a Weddingbee Weekend Action—an opportunity for hive members all over the world to come together through community service projects. Saturday and Sunday, June 23rd and 24th, there will be projects going on in many cities, and everyone is invited to take part as we give back locally as a global community. Right now, there are projects being organized in the following cities, with the corresponding organizers:

San Francisco, CA – Penguin

Durango, CO – Honey

Southern CT – Woodpecker

Washington, DC – Cucumber Sandwich

Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, IA – Doily

Chicago, IL – Bacon

Raleigh/Durham, NC – Cola

Omaha, NE – TKSJewelry

New York City, NY – Hermit Crab

Toledo, OH – Cannon

Philadelphia, PA – mrs_money

DFW, TX – High Wire

College Station/NW Houston, TX – Hyena

San Antonio, TX – Petit Four

If you would like to participate in a project, please email the organizer by June 20th to reserve your spot. Contacting the organizer will allow you to have the specific information about the project in your city—day, time, and project. There will also be threads popping up on the local boards with more information—be sure to pop over there as well.

Also, share your WB pride by purchasing and rocking one of these awesome shirts, designed by our own Mrs. Cupcake! Feel free to purchase one and rock it whenever you’re doing community service—or really, whenever. :)

No project in your town? No problem! Feel free to organize one on the local boards, or take a photo of yourself volunteering at another time with a message about what you were doing, and we’ll include it in our recap.

As suggested by readers, we would like to dedicate this First Weddingbee Weekend of Action to our Pennylaine in her memory and as a way to continue to pay it forward in her name.

We hope you will join us for this exciting new project!

This is such a fantastic idea! I wish I could participate. But, I’ll be in the midst of a family friend reunion.

I’ll be sure to send good vibes while sucking in my stomach!

Unfortunately you guys aren’t anywhere near me, but what a great idea! I love seeing something like this site, which some people could dismiss as frivolous, be such a positive influence to the community on a whole. Good luck, everyone!
