Gifting My Maids

June 13th, 2012 @ 12:16 pm by Mrs. Elk

Deciding on gifts for my bridesmaids was a difficult decision.  While I found lots of jewelry I really liked, I was worried the tastes of seven girls wouldn’t allow for me to get one piece and have every girl actually enjoy it.  The more I thought about it, the more I wanted something everyone could use and would enjoy individually.  And that is when I stumbled upon AO3 designs—creators of customizable clutches!

I love them and love that each girl could have her own personality shine through! But there are SO many options! I didn’t want to flat out tell my maids what their gifts would be and allow them to choose, so instead I narrowed down the options to only chevron patterns and made a cute little PowerPoint presentation:

And I must say, my girls made some adorable clutches!

I packed them away, and made a little baggie to accompany the clutches:

I filled this with hair ties, a nail file, lip gloss, bobby pins, Tootsie Rolls, and mints! I thought it added a cute little touch. And best of all, my girls seemed to love their gifts!!

How did you decide on bridesmaid gifts? Did you go a matching route or did you individualize?

The clutches came out awesome! I made “survival” kits too! They were so fun to make I hope they enjoy them half as much as I enjoyed making them!

I’m sort of going along the same lines as you — the same, but not matching! :)

I think the clutches are so trendy! And, throwing them into a “survival kit” is just adorable.

super cute! I’m doing monogramed makeup bags with their initial in their favorite color! I love that it’s something they can hold on to for a long time and get use out of it!

I love AO3 designs. She also does custom clutches using fabric provided by the buyer which is the route I went for my bridal clutch made with my moms wedding gown.
