I, like most other brides, spent a lot of time worrying how everything would come together on our wedding day. I pulled inspiration from all corners of the internet, but there was no way of knowing how everything would look in “real life.” Throw in an unconventional color scheme, and my anxiety only increased.
I created this inspiration board at the beginning of our planning to convince myself (and others) that a red, green, and gray color scheme could be pulled off without looking like a bad Christmas special.

There were a lot of details that changed, evolved, or were eliminated as we planned our wedding over many months, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how our wedding details compared to our original vision.

Overall, I am very pleased with how our ideas were executed at our wedding. There are some things that did not translate as I had hoped, such as the center picture in my inspiration collage since I’m not even sure what it is supposed to be, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I love how everything came together, and I am so glad I trusted my vision despite some opposition to my ideas.
Are you using an inspiration board to help with your planning? How did your wedding compare to your original inspiration?
