Mrs. Sparkler's Picture
Mrs. Sparkler, Chicago Age and Occupation: 27, Writer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Publisher Engagement Date: July 21, 2010 Wedding Date: September 2011 Venue: Chicago Illuminating Company About Me: I’m a Southern lady living in the big city of Chicago. Well, lady may be a stretch, but I’m working hard to keep some Virginia charm in our sleek, urban, wedding-palooza! I’m addicted to marathons, not-so-famous bands, Chicago restaurants, and Mark Twain. I cry during SPCA commercials, and I think LOST was the best show to ever hit television. Mr. S and I met at a classy college mixer and, 7 years later, he’s still by my side. He’s the only child, laid back, free spirit... I’m the oldest of five kids, type-A, organizer. It doesn’t work on paper, but we’ve never paid attention to that stuff anyway. Somehow it works. And like they say, sometimes when you know…you just know.

One Year Later…

September 10th, 2012 @ 5:20 pm by Mrs. Sparkler

Forgive me for being a little absent this weekend, hive. Sparks and I took off to Cleveland to celebrate our one-year anniversary with friends and family.

That’s right. Today is our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY.

How did that happen? How in the world has it been an entire YEAR since I walked down the aisle??? It’s so hard to believe, but here we are. One year after what was the best weekend of our lives. And I wanted to take a break from our recaps and share a picture with you that’s become my favorite shot of the entire wedding weekend. It might seem like an out-of-place and hurried shot. Just a quick “click” of the photographer’s camera while was she was trying to capture the party atmosphere that exploded late that night. But when Sparks and I finally got to flip through our online wedding album, I realized that this is what I had been waiting for…

This moment right here. This picture.

One Year Later... : wedding chicago pictures pro pics recap Wedding2 wedding2

When the night was nearly over, when the fancy food had all been eaten, when our perfectly worded vows had finally been said. THIS is the moment that I wanted so badly to capture on film. With messy hair and a sweaty new husband. Letting go of a year’s worth of plans and stress and hard work. Realizing that we really did it. That we really ended up together after all these years. This is when it all came together.

This is pure happiness.

Happy anniversary, Brandon. I love you more than ever.

What I adore about this photo is that nobody around you is looking at you guys or the camera. It’s almost as if everything else stopped and it was just you two in that moment. I hope my photographer can capture something like this!!

Absolutely beautiful. My bestfriend has a moment like this one caught on film by her photographer. Its everyones favorite picture from her wedding. Its just breathtaking because it is so pure. Not posed or planned. Just that moment between the two of you.

Congratulations

One hundred percent in agreement with @purpeley – it looks as though you two had a private moment amidst a sea of people. Love, love, love. CONGRATS. :D
