During this time, Mr. D was spending time with guests as they were heading in and making sure that our out-of-town guests were getting appropriate rides and directions. He was also keeping his groomsmen in check, which is a feat all on its own. Soon we all descended into the church parking lot. It was time to rehearse.
Let me just say that Pastor Marty was amazing. This was definitely not his first shindig, and he had the show up and running smoothly.
This was such a relief, because I actually got to sit back and enjoy the moment. Up until the rehearsal itself, the wedding didn’t seem real, but as I was driving to that church (or in reality BM J was driving me), the butterflies in my stomach hit in a flurry of nervousness. It hit me like a ton of bricks that at that exact time the next day I would officially be Mrs. D and would be getting ready for the reception! It was so nice to be able to relish in that delight and not have to order people around.
I took some moments to pose with friends before being called away to go over some last-minute things:

While Pastor Marty was going over some last-minute things with us, the wedding party kept themselves busy:

Once we finalized the little things, Pastor Marty had us line up and the rehearsing began.

We only had to run through it three times before everyone got it!! It was really nice to hear the music and see how things were pulling together. I definitely cried going down the aisle even though it was just practice!
You could totally tell when people were starting to get hungry and antsy too! They started goofing around while Pastor Marty was going over our vows and reading to make sure we liked it and if any changes needed to be made.

Once we were done, we signed our marriage license so we didn’t have to worry about it the next day (we totally forgot to take pictures), and headed back to the reception hall, as it was also the location of our rehearsal dinner!
Now it was time to just spend time together, pass out the presents that we had picked out for the wedding party, and enjoy the taco bar!

After we enjoyed the food, the time together, and lots of laughs, we did some minor tweaking to the decorations and ensured that everything was ready for the next day. Then five of my bridesmaids and I headed back to my apartment for a quiet night (we were all in bed by midnight!), and the groom and groomsmen headed to the hotel. I surprisingly went right to sleep, despite being excited for what lay ahead!
