Mrs. Fox, Washington DC/Havre de Grace, MD Age and Occupation: 26, Massage Therapist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Field Support Engineer Engagement Date: April 18, 2010 Wedding Date: June 2012 Venue: Vandiver Inn About Me: I’m a dancer turned massage therapist who was born and raised in New York. Alas, true love has brought me “south” where I still maintain my penchants for pretty shoes, wine, crossword puzzles, cherry blossoms, and the Mets. I own more sunglasses than a normal person should and don’t eat red meat (though I make up for it by eating my weight in sushi). I tend to be a big planner who likes to get things started early, but generally end up being indecisive and procrastinating when it comes down to it. I have a (not so) secret crush on Chris Carrabba, but my loyalty and love ultimately goes to the future hubs, of course! Together, my Foxy man and I love to discuss (read: debate) politics and current events, have Mario Kart and Scrabble duels, and just laugh. A lot. We’re hoping and planning for a laid back, fun, summery, rustic vibe to our June wedding that will be genuinely “us” – that is, if we finally make some decisions. Huzzah!
About Mrs. Fox

A Slight Pause

October 12th, 2012 @ 10:37 am by Mrs. Fox

Hive, I have found myself doing what I told myself I would. not. do. Which is starting my recaps, then stopping and just leaving you hanging. To be honest, I’m leaving myself hanging, too…I desperately wanted to bang them all out and have them be done at one time!

Alas, I failed. I had a good backlog of posts ready to go, and then..well, life just got in the way.

Here’s the thing: as mopey and whiney as I was right after the wedding—you know, thinking that I had no life and didn’t know what to do with all my free time—I got busy. Work started picking up. I got assigned to new projects. Foxy and I joined a rock climbing gym. I’m being more diligent about going to yoga. And I’ll be starting a year-long nutrition program in few weeks (woot!).

Not to mention all the wedding fever going around. Remember Brideslady A?

Needless to say, there’s been quite a lot of excitement in both of our lives as a result—she’s planning the wedding for next June, and I am lucky enough to be in her wedding, just as she was in mine!

As if that weren’t exciting enough, my lovely hair stylist (in life and for my wedding), Breezy B, just got married this past weekend in the Outer Banks!!

Hive, let me tell you…it was gorgeous. Breeze was beautiful (as always), the weather was perfection, and you could just feel the love oozing from her and her new hubs.

Foxy and I were also some of the lucky few who got to spend the week leading up to the wedding in the house mansion that everything took place in and around. Hanging out with friends on the beach, imbibing, relaxing, and no internet? Let’s just say it was a pretty good time. (And that I was also unable to write the bajillion recap posts that I originally planned on doing while I was there due to the lack of said internet.)

So, really, I can’t complain. Life has been pretty good. Hectic, for sure…but still good. I’d go so far as to say it’s like ice-cream-for-dinner good. Boom. So I suppose I’m just asking that you to accept my apology for the slight pause in recaps, and bear with me for a bit…I promise the rest of my posts are coming soon!!

Has anyone else found themselves unexpectedly busy, following your wedding or just in general? How do you juggle everything?! I’m (clearly) terrible at it!

Girl, I feel you. Life gets in the way of life for me all of the time. It’s so awesome that you got to spend time celebrating the engagement and marriage of people near & dear to your heart as a Mr. and Mrs., though. :)

Post-wedding life is definitely busy! Moving, working, belated honeymoon… After 4.5 months I’ve finally started the process of picking photos for our albums and looking at video clips, but I’m nowhere near close to getting all that done!

Sounds like a good reason to be kept busy! And at least now being a Mrs. you can share all your wedding knowledge with Brideslady A!
