Exciting news, hive…McGlovin and I have a new addition to the family! Meet Howard Winston III:
Isn’t he adorable?? We’ve been considering getting a dog for a while, and had pretty much decided to wait until after the wedding because housebreaking a dog in the last few months of planning seemed ridiculous. Well…my dad called on Friday and knew someone that was trying to get rid of a puppy before they left for vacation on Monday. My sister and I drove up Friday night, and…now we have a Howie!
Howie was completely adorable all weekend! Aside from waking us up at 4:00 this morning, because he was sure it was play time, we’re completely in love! We probably would have preferred to get him in about three months, because of all the wedding stuff going on now, but then we would have missed out on a perfect pup.

What about you, hive? Is anyone else making some major lifestyle changes, intentional or not, just before the wedding? Is it adding stress to your planning, or are you just going with it? And…I mean, come on—how cute is Howard?

We hope to buy a house close to the wedding. One of the reasons we’re planning early, ha ha!!

I had to move my entire office to a new location a week before my wedding, including buying new furniture, getting a phone line, internet service. Not to mention all the office hunting I had to do before that :/

What a cutie!!! I am soooo lusting after a dog of my own again, but we currently live in a no-pets-apartment and Mr. B wants to wait a while.

Thanks for posting this… just this morning a puppy came up on my email (I get adoption emails from a shelter), and now we’re considering a puppy again, despite deciding a few weeks ago that we should wait awhile longer until we are ready for that kind of commitment. Glad we’re not the only ones considering doing something crazy like getting a puppy in the midst of planning!

He’s a cutie! And it turns out shih tzus are great. Who knew?! We accidentally adopted one last year. A shih tsu poodle mix is probably awesome. Congrats!
