When Cari was just about finished with BM Gunslinger, I decided to hand out the bridesmaids’ gifts.

The ladies went straight for the Coach tissue paper. Bryan, our videographer asked MOH Sassy what she thought, to which she replied, “Every woman gets excited about Coach.” BM Mermaid was all smiles too.

When my grandfather finished getting ready it was time to give my family a little something. We’re a family of criers. We cry when we’re happy, we cry when we’re sad, hell, we cry sometimes for the sake of crying. For this very reason I thought handkerchiefs would be a good idea. “Mom, To dry your tears as you have always dried mine,” did the trick as she was the first to lose it.

Which in turn made me cry, and caused the rest of my family to quickly open up theirs, starting with my dad, followed by my grandparents.

My grandfather is the toughest person I know. I can’t even begin to express how thankful and fortunate I was to have him at our wedding, especially after our Easter scare. The whole family celebrated his 90th birthday this past September, and I can only hope the mister and I are just as fortunate. I’ve only seen him cry once but “Papa, Today I count my blessings, to have you by my side,” generated a big smile. My grandmother’s read “Nanna, A grandmother’s love is special. I am grateful for all that you are and all that you do.”
After the waterworks were under control and my makeup was touched up, it was time to step into my dress!
