About Mrs. Pain au Chocolat

I always knew what song I wanted to walk down the aisle to. Even before I knew who Mr. PaC was, I sure about the song. I fell in love with it as a little girl watching ECPOT’s movie Impressions de France. Beyond the enchanting melody, it resonated with me because of our French roots. My processional song? Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Aquarium” from The Carnival of the Animals. (You may recognize it from our video.)

Everyone lends a hand to pick up my skirt.

As my dad and I approached the edge of the garden, the DJ transitioned from the main processional song, “Maybe I’m Amazed,” into the bride’s processional song. What a magical moment! All of those years of hoping to hear that song and here we were.

Cool, calm, and collected. Not one ounce of nervousness!

Oh, the things a father must be thinking moments before he walks his daughter down the aisle. (We lucked out that he felt well enough to walk with me!)

@Miss Gray Wolf: If you felt that way reading this post, then I did my job! My hope is that reading these recaps 10 years from now will bring all of the memories back.

@Mrs. Pony: Our photogs were like ninjas – I never noticed them! It definitely made for more natural photos. We felt free to be our goofy selves!

GORGEOUS! The backdrop is so spectacular (perfect word for it)! It makes me so excited for my own garden wedding.

That being said, I have tears in my eyes – I’m going to be such a wreck at my own wedding. The whole thing – the walk, the handoff, the anticipation, is all so beautiful though. I can’t help myself. :)

@bridesmomma: Thank you! :)

@Blonde17Jess: Garden weddings are so dreamy! I hope you have great weather. Your emotions might surprise you and pull a 180 from what you’re expecting! I get teary-eyed reading other bees’ wedding stories, but there were no tears on our own wedding day. Sometimes you’re just too full of happy to even cry happy tears.
