Mrs. Coach's Picture
Mrs. Coach, Dallas Age and Occupation: 21, Undergraduate Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 23, Retail Sales/Management Engagement Date: October 14, 2011 Wedding Date: October 2012 Venue: Piazza in the Village About Me: I was born and raised in the piney woods of East Texas, but Dallas has recently stolen my heart (along with Mr. Coach, of course!) I love classic rock, suspense novels, and my sweet Mini Aussie puppy, Memphis. My fiancé and I are planning a traditional wedding filled with romance, and we can’t wait to combine our own personal touches with a timeless affair. We’re young in years, but are also old souls that love good food and great music, and enjoy many things that are well before our time. We’re planning this wedding together, learning lots, and relying on good wine and reruns of Seinfeld to keep us sane along the way!

Hello, wonderful hive! Today is the big day! I am sitting in our hotel suite with all of my lovely ladies waiting to get our hair and makeup done. MOH L has some chill music playing to get us up and ready. Mr. Coach already sent me a text message this morning to assure me he wasn’t getting cold feet, so we are good to go. ;)

The Dress

October 27th, 2012 @ 10:39 am by Mrs. Wallaby

As soon as Mr. Wallaby and I got engaged, I started spending a lot of time on Pinterest. You could call it an obsession. I hadn’t discovered wedding blogs yet, so I was just browsing around the wedding boards on Pinterest, happily pinning anything that caught my eye.

I didn’t pay too much attention to dresses on Pinterest at first. I was more interested in colors, themes—more general wedding concepts. But then one day I saw a pin of the most beautiful lace dress I had ever seen (and still, I don’t think I’ve seen anything prettier): Claire Pettibone’s Chantilly lace dress.

After some Google sleuthing, I identified the dress…and the price. Wowza. That dress is beautiful, but I definitely couldn’t afford to buy it new. I began to troll used wedding dress websites in search of a Chantilly dress in my size. I never found it in my size, although I did find one on preownedweddingdresses.com that was one size too big that could probably have been altered to my size.
