Side note: I’m back!! Sorry about the break. I finally took my Dad’s ashes to California along with my siblings, and we let him go in the Pacific Ocean.

Then on my way back to Iowa, I got a cold, and an ear infection, AND the stomach flu (Yay for me!!). I spent the week in bed mostly sleeping, but also writing recaps. I have all of them done now, so there should not be any more breaks! Yippeee!! So without further ado, some more Doily recaps!! Whoot!
Now that the formals were done with, it was time for a little break before getting down to the real business: the ceremony. So we basically just hung out and enjoyed each others attention.
The bridesmaids really wanted a photo of all of our sparkly shoes, so our photog Jen was only too happy to oblige:

Right after that, Jenn shot a photo of all of the bridesmaids, the junior bridesmaid and the flower girl (PS: You see our flowers…those were all made out of coffee filters, took forever but so worth it!):

Which, of course, the groomsmen then decided they also needed one:

At this point in time, hunger hit for me. All I had all day was a bagel and it was nearing mid-afternoon. Luckily, MOH A thought ahead and while on her way to the church stopped and grabbed me a snack wrap from McDonald’s. I ate that bad boy and enjoyed every second of it:

Our church DOC ran over with a napkin and made me wear it like a bib so I wouldn’t get anything on the dress. I didn’t drip anything, but Lord knows I would have if I didn’t have that bib.
Then the sillies started to make themselves known and some of the girls decided that holding the bouquets was too much and they needed a place to rest them:

These two honestly put everything in their cleavage. At one point in the night, BM S (on the right) had her cell phone, two cameras, a lighter and lipstick in her cleavage. It’s like a fanny pack, but with her boobs. It’s quite a skill.
Guests were starting to arrive, so the wedding party was told to go and wait in the back. Mr. D and I had decided previously that the groomsmen and the bridesmaids would go back to different rooms and wait to line up. This way the anticipation would build again before seeing each other at the altar.
Our prelude music started and we all began to head back into the rooms. Before Mr. D and the men headed back, one of the BM’s caught this sight:

I love this shot. These two have been through a lot with each other and it’s not very often they let their manly guard down to see moments like this. For someone to have captured it on film makes it all that much more awesome.
As we waited for the ceremony to start, Jenn kept herself busy taking pictures:

And our little sign man kept himself busy catching balls:

Isn’t his outfit the cutest? I love the way it came together!
Before Pastor Marty went out to get the ceremony started, he stopped in each of our separate dressing rooms to do a quick prayer with us:

Then before I knew it, Pastor Marty left and the prelude music had started:
Then I was being told that the guests had finished being seated:

My sister-in-law’s mother holding my niece, keeping her preoccupied until the ceremony.
Then the wedding party lined up. Then it was only me, trying to hold it together, savoring my last few moments of being Miss Doily.
With the exception of the photos of Mrs. Doily chowing on Mickey D’s and the dudes hugging, all the other photos are from An Unforgettable Memory Photography..
Up Next: We do that processional thing.
