Yes, I opted for a faint blush dress- white was just not me!
I’m making my dress, so the top is white silk, the bottom is white lace(ish) flowers, but they have spaces between (not sure how to explain but they flowers are created with ribbon). Anyway, the underskirt is planned to be dark purple (one of our colors), and will be able to be seen through then the bottom.
Oooh, I love the fancy florals dress! I went with a darker ivory, but one of my dresses I drooled over was a gold/silver sequined beauty.

I love 1, 5 and 9 but I would really prefer them in black or black lace with a cream/gold lining… which brings me to my question, how do I get a hold of #11?? It kicks arse!
So yes obviously I’m in support of coloured wedding gowns and I would be one of the people who would “go for broke and wear a black wedding dress”.
And before anyone makes a comment about how SJP regretted her black dress, SJP is also not the only woman who has ever worn one so her regret shouldn’t be set us as some kind of definitive precedent 
I’m all for coloured dresses! I had a champagne-coloured dress (it’s in the gallery) with a lace overlay, and it was much softer on my skin than white.
I thought I’d be a traditional “white dress” bride, but it washed me out. I didn’t need a fake tan to own the champagne colour
