About Me: I am a DIY-loving, science dork. I like to eat green peppers every day and I wish all clothes would be made with bows and lace. I have a crafting corner but my ultimate goal is to one day have a craft room. During the day I am a genetic counselor and work with people who are at risk for inherited cancer syndromes. When I get home, I throw on some yoga pants and like to drink good beer with friends. I moved to the South for grad school and stumbled across Mr. Squirrel, aka Southern Gent extraordinaire. We moved to Tampa, Florida and are starting a new life together. Mr. Squirrel worked for many years as a graphic designer but recently decided to go back to school for environmental engineering. Some days it feels like our schedules are completely opposite, but when we have a few moments to spend together, we love going to the beach, singing obnoxiously in the car, and relaxing with Lost marathons. We are so excited to get married! Our ceremony will be in a Catholic church and the guests will then take a boat ride to the outdoor reception. We are channeling a Midsummer Night’s Dream and plan to have lots of twinkling lights, moss, and whimsy in the air.

Welcome! The squirrel was definitely hard to turn down when it came time to pick a moniker! I’m so glad someone finally picked it! It is freaking adorable. We are doing a Marie Antoinette/Versailles inspired wedding, but I was very, very close to doing a fairy forest, mossy, whimsical-type wedding which sounds very much Midsummer Night’s Dream! I can’t wait to see your inspiration.
