We’ve Got Mail!

December 31st, 2012 @ 1:34 pm by Mrs. Beanstalk

Friday marked two months that the Beanstalks have been married. Don’t worry, that’s not the reason behind this post. I’m writing to let you all know about something that arrived in the mail that day…

We've Got Mail! : wedding delray beach photography Beansta03 beansta03

There was an outer box with this inside.

Our wedding photos from 1313 Photography!!!

And then inside that box was this little package!

Didn’t it come packaged super cute?!? I love it!

It took exactly two months for us to get our pictures, which when you think about it, really isn’t that long. Sure, it would have been nice to have them before the holidays because then we could’ve done cute Christmas cards with a wedding photo and gifted family framed photos…but that would have involved lots of planning/printing during an already crazy time of year (and truth be told, I didn’t have time and was sort of enjoying my little break from all things wedding)! Instead we plan to gift photos to our family throughout the year, which allows for plenty of time to research and buy the best frames, albums, etc.

As for holiday cards, early on I decided not to use a wedding photo for ours. I didn’t know when we would get the pro pics exactly, so it made sense not to use one. Plus, I really wanted to use a photo for our thank you cards, and it seemed sort of redundant to have wedding photos in both cards, seeing as they would be mailed out so close to one other. So I designed a simple holiday card in festive green and red colors and then created red-glitter envelope liners to be placed inside our red envelopes. They came out so lovely!

Receiving the photos after the holiday means we both have all of the time in the world to view them! And can I just add, I am so utterly happy with how they came out! 1313 Photography did an amazing job!

Now that the holidays are behind us (as well as my TV obsession with Gossip Girl and Greek—why must all good shows end?), I can devote all of my free time to wedding recaps. (I refuse to start watching another show on Netflix because I know it will consume my life, yet again!) But before the wedding recaps can start, there was a little thing called the honeymoon, which I have yet to share with you all.

So, next up…the Beanstalk honeymoon!

PS: Happy New Year, hive!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging our photographer did with her delivery. The unexpected attention to detail really tickled me.

Yeah! I can’t wait for your recaps to start!

And we were lucky enough to receive our photos back within a few weeks. But without any cute packaging, so maybe that’s the reason why. Ha!

And since we were sending out Thank You cards right around the holidays, I decided not to send out holiday cards. I figured it would be silly to send people two cards in the mail so close together.
