Mrs. Treasure's Picture
Mrs. Treasure, Chicago Age and Occupation: 24, Law Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Equity Analyst Engagement Date: July 30, 2011 Wedding Date: September 2012 Venue: Saint James Chapel at Quigley Prep/Murphy Auditorium About Me: I was born and raised in Indiana, but now live in sweet home Chicago. I'm a third-year law student and aspiring trial lawyer, which means Mr. T never wins an argument. Other than Mr. T, I love singing, exploring the Chicago restaurant scene, and Notre Dame football. We met in a musical (just like my parents!) and after 4 years together, we are excited to be planning our urban "destination" wedding.
About Mrs. Treasure

Since I was in fifth grade, I knew I would walk down the aisle to Canon in D. Standing behind the closed doors, I could hear it’s familiar notes, and I realized that my childhood dream was about to come true. I was about to walk down the aisle and marry the love of my life.
My friends, E and J, fixed my train. Our friends/their now-fiancés, M and M, opened the doors, and it was time.

Walking down the aisle was one of the most surreal moments of my life. I saw the faces of our family members and friends around me, the flash of camera bulbs, and—way down at the end of the aisle—the beaming face of my groom.

As we walked, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

Through the tears, I couldn’t take my eyes off of Mr. T. I was just so excited to see him. I couldn’t believe that we were about to get married. There were 125 people in the beautiful chapel, but I only cared about one.

You look so amazingly happy!!

And I have always wanted to walk down to Canon in D too :) Mr. Lemur said “but everyone does it…” and I said it doesn’t matter, because we haven’t!

@Miss Lemur: Exactly! It is a bit cliche, but I don’t care because I LOVE it. It always has been and always will be my wedding song.

Somehow I have never heard Canon in D. I actually have spent the past few hours trying to find the perfect song to walk down the aisle to and once again the Bee came through. I’m listening now and getting chills.

Your “down the aisle” post moved me to tears, as most do. I especially love the fifth photo – you and your mom have the same beautiful smile! My daughter was in junior high when she discovered Canon in D and said immediately that was her wedding march – hope she doesn’t change her mind. One year for Christmas I got her a CD called “Pachelbel’s Greatest Hit” with about a dozen versions. The only hard part will be deciding on which version to use.

One melting moment right? Walking down the aisle is the most emotional part for a bride.

@whomajigi: Glad I could help!

@TexasAggieMom: Thank you for your kind words. I hope your daughter has as nice of a memory connected to the song as I do.

@Miss ABC: I see what you did there. ;-)
