Gifts for the Pack

February 1st, 2013 @ 10:33 am by Mrs. Gray Wolf

I knew I wanted to gift my girls something awesome. Save my sister, I’ve been in (or will be) in all my ‘maids’ weddings, and they were incredibly generous with their gifts…like, really generous. Plus, they took a lot of the good ideas!

First, in lieu of a card, I got everyone a copy of this book:

We’re using part of it as one of our readings, and I love how it appropriately translates from how I feel about Wolfman to how I feel about my ‘maids. Some sample pages:

Isn’t that the cutest? I wrote (and colored!) all throughout the text and underlined parts that applied to my relationship with that particular ‘maid. I had a vision that they would read it and then, during the ceremony, recognize that although those words were for Wolfman, they were for them too.

Next, I got them all different necklaces from Edor (the Etsy shop I’m obsessed with, previously mentioned here). I got them in gray/green colors so they could pair them with their dresses if they wanted to.

Lastly, I got everyone a nice pair of cashmere gloves:

It took me FOREVER to find this last component. I wanted to get something seasonal since it was somewhat unique that I am getting married during the winter. I’m not going to list out the things I was considering in case my ‘maids are bummed this is what they ended up with (kidding), but suffice it to say that I looked at pretty much anything winter related. I saw these and thought they were perfect—they’re Marc Jacobs and cashmere (read: should be hella expensive), but I got them for a steal. Seriously.

I also got each girl (and myself) one of these:

I don’t really count it as a gift since it’s not the MOST useful thing ever, and I got them for sort of selfish reasons…I want to recreate this picture:

This was another item I searched forever for—I didn’t want to spend a ton on them since they’re mostly photo props, so I was really excited to find them at Target. I’m excited to have some “fur” at the Wolf wedding. I plan on giving everything to them after the rehearsal dinner—hopefully they’ll be a hit!

What a darling idea to give the sweetest book ever in lieu of a card! I just love, love the I Like You book. We used a quote from it on the back of our Save the Date :)

I love the idea of gifting copies of the book! :) We’re using it as a reading in our wedding and you’re so right that it applies to friendships, as well. So unique and awesome!
