Dear Miss Gray Wolf,
First off, high five.

You made it here in one piece! A slightly stressed piece, but that’s OK. You and Wolfman coordinated this whole weekend almost on your own and it’s finally here”¦and no matter what happens, or what last-minute issues arise—it’s going to kick ass. Remember to take a minute to really be proud of yourself for what you’ve planned. You both deserve it.
Try not to get too sad. I know it’s going to be hard, especially for your mom, but realize that your dad will be here today. Try to think of how excited he would be for you to start your own family, to experience the joys he felt with his.
Second, remember to be thankful. Thankful for your mom and all she has done to help you get to this place. Thankful for your siblings and their unwavering friendship. For Wolfman’s family, always welcoming you into their lives. For your friends and their support and overwhelming generosity.
But most of all, be thankful for Wolfman. It still feels like a happy stroke of luck that you found him, and chose him to be your partner in life. The relationship you have is perfect in so many ways, and I think one of the best things about him is that he always encourages you to work on another relationship—the one you have with yourself. Remember that this day is not only about two lives intersecting, but an important step in your own individual growth. Congratulations to you both for helping each other here.
Now, get out there and do this thing.
