About Mrs. Beanstalk

After a long and ever so winding car ride from the airport, we were finally at our hotel, The Jalousie Plantation. We walked down a few steps and there was our villa. It was gorgeous! Linus, our butler for the week, gave us a tour of our new home and we were beyond excited with what we saw! It was super private and had a beautiful view of the Piton Mountains. He also gave us two Firefly phones that we were to use to contact him…whenever we wanted or needed to!

So here it is, our honeymoon villa…

We wanted to capture our villa on video because when we booked our honeymoon, that is what we looked at to help us make our decision…YouTube videos! Videos really give you an in depth and honest look at various hotel properties. If you’re trying to decide on a honeymoon spot, check out YouTub—it may help you make up your mind!

*Side note: The Jalousie Plantation is now operating under the new name of Sugar Beach: A Viceroy Resort. While we stayed at the property it was still Jalousie and did not change names until a few weeks after we left. The name change was a last step in the resort’s new branding. (It was bought by the Viceroy a few years ago and underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation.) We were super excited that we were there to experience this newly renovated resort!

I see a blank spot under the text. Is there supposed to be a video there?

We are going to St. Lucia and staying at Sugar Beach for our honeymoon too! Where did you eat while you were there and did you tour a rum factory? Fiance made it clear he definitely wants to do that!

@jocelyneileen: You are going to LOVE Sugar Beach!!! I had no idea there was a rum factory on the island! I bet that will be really interesting (you’ll probably even get some free samples)! We did the modified meal plan, which included breakfast and dinner. We thought about doing the full meal plan, but opted not to in case we wanted to eat off of the grounds… but as it would turn out, we ate all of our meals at the hotel (the food was all really good)! We usually ate lunch on the beach!

GORGEOUS Video… you guys did a great job !!

Lol… sooo that is what was up the hill beyond the Beach I was snorkelling at.

Truly glorious… and very romantic.

Lol, and I thought the beach was good.

I’ve heard about the Jalhousie Plantation Resort for years… in that it and the beach right there below The Pitons have always had an excellent reputation.

The video you and your Hubby did really gives one a peek inside what a Villa has to offer (know they are expensive… but well worth the price of admission I’d say. And just WOW to the private pools)

I am certain now, that St Lucia will no doubt be a place you two will visit again in the years to come.

Lol, as to the Rum… I can attest it was delicious. Our Snorkelling Tour Boat turned into a real “party boat” on the way back to the Port of Castries…

PS… Curious, did you do any of the Excursions to the Pitons while you were staying so close (Hiking, Zip-Lining and such). If so I’ll be really looking forward to reading those Blog entries too.

It’s looking like a cozy, romantic, and private place to pick. Perfect for the newlyweds!

I’ve been to St. Lucia multiple times on cruises and I adore the Piton Mountains. Your view is just tugging on my heartstrings!
