After the small snaffu at the beginning of the ceremony, the photographers offered us a Day After Shoot free of charge for when we came back from the honeymoon, to make up for the misunderstanding. So three days after we arrived from our three week romp through Europe, we got gussied up again and took pictures all over my grandfather’s land.

It was soooo HOT, probably close to 100 degrees, but I think we overcame the heat and had a lot of fun in this shoot, especially since it ended up providing some of my favorite shots. Even though a day after shoot wasn’t originally in our plans, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants some extra photos taken. It especially helped us since, without a first look or cocktail hour, we had only 30 minutes to take pictures between the ceremony and reception. Knowing we would get the opportunity to take pictures after the honeymoon relieved the stress about getting “the perfect shots” and I do believe we have some good shots in this bunch. I’d love to hang up the 8th from the bottom (black and white of us sitting on the ground kissing) in our house, but I fear it might be a little too raunchy to frame. What are your thoughts? Any others you’d think would be good to blow up?

I LOVE the one you’re talking about framing! I don’t think there is anything raunchy about it at all! You look beautiful, and I would never have guessed it was so hot.
The black and white kissing picture isn’t too raunchy! It’s your wedding day! You’re supposed to be kissing! Display it proudly in your home!

These are incredible pictures. You should frame whatever pictures make you happy. It doesn’t seem raunchy to me.
The first thing I thought when reading this post is how impressed I am that you still fit into your wedding dress after a three week European vacation. I have a feeling I’ll put on quite a bit of weight on my honeymoon 
I love it when a negative turns into a positive! That’s awesome that your photographers were willing to admit their mistake and offer you the day-after shoot to make up for it. You got such amazing photos out of it!

@Shortbread: We both gained at least 5 pounds so it was very hot and very uncomfortable to wear the dress and romp around but at least we got good pictures our of it.
@Miss Blue Whale: It was! It definitely made our day since originally we were going to end the reception one hour earlier (midday instead of 1pm) so we could take pictures. When after the ceremony, they offered us the Day-after shoot we scrapped that idea and decided to enjoy our reception a bit longer. Win-Win

I love the locations. I like the black and white one, it looks romantic.
If you’re unsure about displaying that black and white photo for others to see, why not have it framed and put it in your bedroom? That way you can still enjoy it, but you won’t have to be uneasy about it’s content (although I think it’s lovely, not raunchy at all, but I understand where you’re coming from).
