SO bummed that the pugs didn’t persevere. Elephants forever, in that case–that pair looks like they’ve been through a lot and got through it by standing together through it all.

Voted for cats. But both are cute! Tied as of this moment- can’t wait to see who wins.

Elephants don’t like to get to know elephants of other genders and only hang out when in heat. In fact, male elephants are expelled from the family group when they reach adulthood. (As far as I know, same sex coupling hasn’t been observed in either elephants or cats, so I’m precluding that as a possibility here.)
Cats may not be monogamous, but male and female pairs may live together and snuggle together for their whole lives.
