Jack found this photographer on Facebook when it popped up that one of his friends had “liked” the page. This was long before we were engaged, but when the topic of photographers came up this guy was one of the first we looked at. I was blown away by them—they were exactly what I had envisioned.

When we looked at other photographers in the area I just didn’t feel the same excitement as when I looked at these pictures. There is a photographer in Brighton loved by many wedding bloggers, but she just did nothing for me. They were great pictures, sure, but not what I was after.
So after some umming and ahhing I got in touch with him. We hadn’t even bothered contacting any other photographers—if he was available we’d book him. It really was as simple as that.
We met Luke for the first time in a coffee shop in Brighton. He’d travelled to see us and we met him straight after work. We warmed to him instantly and he made us feel really comfortable and at ease. He showed us samples of a full wedding-day shoot of 300–400 pictures, and every one of them was perfect.
I can be quite impulsive when I find something I want, but I had no reason to worry with Luke when we booked him straight away. I didn’t need to speak with any others to know he was the best we could get in our budget (actually I think we’d have gone with him even if we had a bigger budget!), and sometimes when you get that feeling, you know you’re onto a good thing.
He agreed to do an engagement shoot for us, too, and it will provide a great opportunity to scope out areas around both the church and the venue for good places to shoot.
I am so excited about this guy it’s unbelievable. If you live in the South of England then I definitely recommend checking him out!
