Gifts for My Favorite Ladies!

I love shopping. For me. For other people. Doesn’t matter. And I also love my bridesmaids. So it’s no surprise that I am having such an awesome time searching for the perfect gifts for my favorite friends.

The problem? I love my bridesmaids so much that I want to get them so much stuff! But my poor wallet can’t handle buying everything they deserve. Enter you. Want to see what I’m considering? Want to tell me your favorites?

But first”¦a message to my bridesmaids. (I’m pretty sure they don’t read Weddingbee, but with my luck, today would be the first day they visit the site.) :)

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let’s get down to the good stuff. I’ve got several ideas for what to get my bridesmaids. I want the gifts to be things that they love but things that also remind them or me of our friendship.

Up first—earrings. I’m thinking a unique pair for each girl, but with some similarities. I love dichroic glass earrings, so I was thinking of getting a pair for each person. They can be practically any color or multi-colored.

Next, I’ve considered a beautiful scarf. I’m a big scarf person, so it would remind them of me. Plus, who doesn’t love scarves! I’m thinking either gray or coral chevron”¦but it could be something completely different.

Another consideration”¦a clutch. I’m in love with the chevron for this too! (The specific design of the clutch has yet to be determined”¦)

And of course I couldn’t write a post about bridesmaids’ gifts without considering a robe. :) I think robes are so cute. I can’t decide, though. My ‘maids will be dressed by the time the photographer shows up so they won’t be a part of pro photo-ops. But”¦they’re still cute and comfy.

My last idea? How about hand painted mugs or wine glasses? One of my favorite activities to do with my bridesmaids is to paint pottery. (Have you done it?? So much fun!) I was thinking of painting them each a unique wine glass. I have no idea what it would look like, but here’s some examples of unpainted glasses.)

Now for the fun part. You get to vote! (Keep in mind: I’m planning on getting two or three of my choices, but I can’t decide which ones are best.)

I love reading the Bridesmaid gift posts! I was so all over the place when picking out mine that they REALLY helped me! But I would definitely say I LOVE the scarf idea, especially chevron! It’s the type of thing that I would LOVE to have, but would probably never think to buy!

I love the clutches! I got chevron wristlets for my bridesmaids from marandalee on Etsy. They turned out so cute!

    @Mrs. Buffalo:
is right on… the scarf is a beautiful piece I probably wouldn’t splurge on for myself — but would be glad to have! Same for the clutch. :)

I love love LOVE the scarf, and I think the handpainted glass/mug idea is super cute too. My preference would be for a mug over a wine glass, though. And I voted that I could definitely live without the clutch because all the women in my family (including me!) are super picky about purses. But your BMs are super lucky that you want to give them so many sweet gifts!

Maybe you could treat your bridesmaids to a pottery painting session instead of painting them all yourself? That way you can bond and you won’t have to do so many! (I know its a lot of work)

I think you could do cheaper versions of everything. thats what i would do if i were you!

you can get the robes online for pretty cheap, or hunt bargin stores! they dont all have to be exactly the same.

for scarves- you could make ur own, super cheap- or buy some online or clearnace, again they all dont have to be the same!

for wine glasses, id get the ones from dollar tree and paint those! that would even be a fun activity to do all together.

the clutches, are hard but u can get them on etsy for pretty cheap.

earrings are on clearance all the time too! but ur cool ones are more expensive obviously.

I voted for the clutch and wine glass. However, I think a cool thing would be sliding a pair of those great earrings into the clutch. Or maybe the wine glass and a bottle of their favorite wine?

I’m spoiling my girls, I’m like you and want to buy them everything! My favorite thing I’m getting them is hoodies that say “Love never fails” on the back so they can wear them again. I’m getting married in October so I figured a zip up hoodie would be the perfect thing to wear while getting ready. I’m getting them done at a local print shop for only $24 a piece!

These were such CUTE bridesmaid gift ideas! Individual to the different types of girls, but my favorite have to be those foiled rainbow earrings! I would give anything for those… That scarf is very cute as well. It looks more comfortable than anything. ha ha.

I really loved the idea of the wine glass/mug…it is really personal because you do that sort of thing with your gals! Maybe you could make them each a little jewelry dish (paint them in each of their fave colors) and then also get the earrings for them! I would totally love a gift like that!

Cute ideas for gifts! I have no idea what I’m getting my girls… since I only have two BMs I can go a bit more personalized for each one.

Look like either the scarf or the clutch is winning! Thanks so much for all your help. I really didn’t think anyone would like the clutch! :) But now I know.

Love all the ideas! and I may still the wine glass one. Only we can paint them all together (we’re all a little crafty). I got them all “maid of dis-honnor” screen T’s, that were actually a bigger hit than I anticipated! My sister is consistantly trying to find a reason to wear hers! LOL. The rest of the gifts I haven’t given out. A 3-way make-up brush- perfect for a cosmetic bag. A 6 sided emery board. I want to get them something else as well, so thanks for all the ideas, girls!

Wow – so many great ideas! For my wedding, I gave my leading ladies Plum Pretty Sugar bridesmaid robes! Yes, they’re pricey, but they are so worth the cost! The girls still rave about them and I still wear mine everyday!
