About Mrs. Penguin

We always like to be two steps ahead when it comes to bee blogger generations and icons, so while the Honeymoon Generation was just recently introduced, we’re busy dreaming up the icons for the next round!

We like to rotate generations between ones that have eyes and ones that don’t—meaning this last round (Honeymoon) wasn’t animal heavy, so for our next round we’re focusing on icons that can/do have eyes. We’re brainstorming one we think would be adorable…the Farm Generation! At first, we pictured all the cute little farm animals that there are…and then realized we already have a lot of those bees already represented! Miss Piglet, Miss Lamb, Miss Apple, Miss Jackrabbit and more.

A farm generation could be a mix of both animals and inanimate objects…Billy Goat, Hen, Mare, Barn, Eggs, even Windmill. What other icons/names could we add to our farm generation roster that would make cute icons? Would anyone want to be Miss Cow? :)

In the meantime, we’re currently accepting fun, stylish brides-to-bee to join the bee bloggers in our Honeymoon Generation! If you’re blogging about your wedding plans and are getting married through November 2013, check out our application guidelines and blog with us!

These wouldn’t have eyes, but what about a techie generation — Miss Laptop, Miss Smartphone, Miss Tablet…

Pengy, I’ve always envisioned a ‘Famous/Inspirational Females’ type of moniker. You know, Miss Madam Curie, Miss Buffy (with a stake! I die), Miss Amelia Earhart, Miss Susan B. Anthony – you could even do Miss Lisa Frank (the colors!). . . just saying. They’d definitely have eyes! :) I wish I could design things because I’d be all over this, instead I just daydream.

Farm icons: Miss Pigeon, Miss Rabbit, Miss Chicken (maybe Chick?), Miss Heifer, Miss Farm Cat, Miss Farm Dog…

Other Ideas: I’ve always thought a wedding generation would be really neat. :) (Miss Garter, Miss Wedding Dress, Miss Cake, etc.)

I’d be cow. I also like ducks and chicks and geese. There is also sheep (ewes), lamas, and turkeys.

Alternative themes ideas: vegetables (pumpkins, corn, etc), fish types (rainbow, clown, angel, etc),seasons (snowflake, fall leaves, rain drops, sunshine, etc), things at a fair (cotton candy, balloons, Ferris wheel, etc)

I would totally be Miss Cow, but I have awhile to wait yet (two year engagement makes looking at generations hard, cause theres always one out of each I wanna be haha)

I agree with some of the above posts and I would love a techie generation, especially seeing my fiance and I met while working for a cell phone company. But that wouldn’t really work for the creatures with eyes theme this time around…

What about a dinosaur generation? Miss T Rex, Miss Brontosaurs, Miss Stegosaurus, Miss Pterodactyl, Miss Cavewoman, Miss Wolly Mammoth, etc. The cuteness of the possible icons is killing me already!

Or what about a bear generation? There’s already been Mrs. Bear Cub and Miss Panda, but what about Miss Polar Bear, Miss Teddy Bear, Miss Black Bear, Miss Grizzly Bear, etc.

As for other mixed barn creatures, what about Miss Barn Cat, Miss Lily Pad, Miss Hay bale and Miss Tractor?

Ideas for other non-eye icons could be a hat generation (Miss Top Hat, Miss Fedora, Miss Baseball Cap, etc), a space generation (Miss Sun, Miss Star, Miss Moon, Miss Planet, Miss Galaxy, Miss Spaceship, Miss Comet, Miss Astronaut, etc) or even a Monopoly generation (Miss Wheelbarrow, Miss Racecar, Miss Boot, Miss Iron, Miss Battleship, etc)

Okay, I’m done now. It’s easy to fantasize generations that I could maybe partake in :)

Ohhh! One more idea… what about a toy generation?

Miss Doll, Miss Blocks, Miss Crayon, Miss Truck, Miss Easel, Miss Teddy Bear, Miss Ball, Miss Puppet, etc.

Sorry if any of these or the other ones I’ve posted have already been bees… just ideas off the top of my head :)
