Miss Palm Tree's Picture
Miss Palm Tree, Pittsburgh, PA Age and Occupation: 23, Lease Analyst Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Associate Systems Analyst Engagement Date: December 22, 2011 Wedding Date: May 2013 Venue: The Fez in Aliquippa, PA About Me: I’m Miss Palm Tree - an opinionated, loyal and outgoing bride-to-be. I currently work as a Lease Analyst by day and a catering assistant by night. Mr. Palm Tree is a Computer Engineer with a love for all things cats. Mr. Palm Tree and I are absolute soul mates. Having grown up across the street from each other (I have the scars to prove it), we have been a part of each other’s lives for almost as long as we can remember. We are far from perfect: we fight, we get annoyed with each other and we certainly take advantage of knowing one another so well when pushed to the edge, but ultimately, what truly defines us as a couple is our love.
About Miss Palm Tree

I apologize for the delay, but finally, after all of these posts, I’m ready to share some of our favorite engagement pictures. I say “some” because our photographers provided us with over 150 of them, each edited with the full rights. It was hard to pick the best ones, but I think I was able to narrow it down sufficiently enough to give you all a solid idea of how our day went. I know I’ve already mentioned how awesome they are, so I’ll try to refrain from squeeing about them TOO much. :)

We’re in love with our pictures and I think that’s pretty clear—so let me abstain from over-wording everything as per usual and let the pictures speak for themselves. After all, that’s what matters here, right?

(ALL photos via the amazing, wonderful, faaaabulous Limelight Images)

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh 2527Se 2527Se

One of the “serious” shots

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh Fifty+S Fifty+S

HA—I almost didn’t post this bad boy, but wanted to feature the green door behind us. One of our photographers L-O-V-E-S this door something fierce. Our whole session, she kept going, “I can’t wait to get to the door!” “We’ll do this in front of the door!” And I’m like, this girl is cray. Nope, she’s just fabulous. My coworkers have taken to calling this our Fifty Shades shot. ;)

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh Graffit Graffit

A great, super urban, super pretty, super love-y photo. Our photographers are seriously full of Pittsburgh knowledge and they SO know what they’re doing. Love.

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh AllTime AllTime

One of our all-time favorites

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh BothFav BothFav

Yeah buddy! Heels! I didn’t trip once. :)

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh BridgeH BridgeH

Another favorite—PNC park in the background. <3

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh GoofyFa01 GoofyFa01

This is the one I mentioned in this post—the whole elbow-face mashup.

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh KissyFa KissyFa

We had to include the obligatory kissy photo, right? ;)

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh Playful Playful

Another one of the “artsy” ones that we surprisingly like almost as much as the “fun” ones

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh Super+T Super+T

This one is one of our favorites because it’s so “us”—fun and silly. Definitely a frame-worthy one.

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh Standar Standar

Of course, the obligatory newspaper-type shot, complete with the ring

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh FavBrid FavBrid

So I cheated and already posted this one—I can’t help it, I just LOVE it. It’s like the Dip on steroids: There was actual traffic on the one side of that bridge!

The Engagement Picture Reveal! : wedding engagement pictures pittsburgh JonStep JonStep

This is one of the ones from the North Shore—currently doubling as my desktop background at work.

Anyone notice our TOMS? :) We had a blast this entire day and are really, really pleased with the results. I think these pictures are pretty much perfect. I can’t imagine that I’ll ever get tired of them. :)

Anyone else have a particularly urban- or city-themed shoot? How about outfit changes? And be honest: Do these make you want to visit our awesome city or what? ;)

These are so fun! My favorite is the one in front of that graffitied tank-thing. Such a neat shot! And you two are adorable.

Love them! They are so cute and you look stunning! We did outfit changes as well. Our colors are navy blue and coral so we started out in jeans and navy blue tops (him a button up, me a summery top and cardigan) with flip flops and took pictures out by a lake and in fields of flowers. Then we changed into coral clothes (I wore a 3/4 length coral top, jeans and cowgirl boots) and he just wore a white polo) and went down to the railroad tracks and took pictures. I loved doing the pictures dressed in our colors because they fit nicely on our save-the-dates and in our wedding decor since we will have e-pics up in the reception room.

These are great–I love them all! Well…except the ones with the Steelers gear because I’m a Browns fan. Just Kidding. Kind of.

That photo with the…is it a train? It’s absolutely gorgeous. I love how much these photos show off your city, the water, and your goofiness, too.

Love all these pictures! I live in Altoona, PA – About two hours from Pitt and my fiance and I go to Pitt a lot for Pens games and Pitt games. Love your Steeler outfits and love the scenery. Great Pictures!

I’m sorry but some of them just look a little trashy =\ I’m all for trying to look like a “real woman”, but that doesn’t mean you have to let your boobs hang out for the world in pictures and wear a dress that’s too short for your body type. Modest is hottest, as the mormons always say. And the ones with the a$$ grabbing? Very unprofessional in my opinion. I hope this doesn’t jeopardize any of your jobs in the future, because employers can and do search the internet. I’m not sure I’d want a future employee to have public pictures on the internet like this. Best of luck to you though lol

Look at you and your gorgeous DIY hair – it turned out great! These are some of the best e-pics I’ve seen on the Bee – how on earth will you be able to choose just a few to frame?

Great pic! I thought the tank graffiti shot was so striking. But they all are so good! So much variety.

Your hair looks so dang good. And now second, I love all of your photos but the butt grab photo is hysterical. That may be one of my faves XD it’s just funny.

@milwaukeewife, @elibas, @jlrhine5240: Thank you!

@spotted_giraffe: Thank you – especially for the hair comment. ;) I was pleased with the results as well!

@krislynn_sd: Aw, Lol, thank you! I’m glad I can ‘sell’ the city, it really is beautiful and deserves a visit. Thank you for commenting on the shoes, too! They were a surprise find.

@Mrs. Hyena: Right?! Who would’ve thought a graffitied tank thing would make such an awesome backdrop? All things urban = my new fav.

@Gabby O: If you ever need a couple to build your portfolio, we’re available! ;)

@Mrs. Bracelet: We had a BLAST! Thank you for noticing.

@Miss Camera: Thank you, Miss Camera. :) I hope I earned a fellow Pittsburgh lovers’ seal of approval. Our photographers really are amazing.

@Brooklyn55: Ahhh, so SMART, using your colors! I think that’s a fabulous idea and I’m sure it’ll make for great decor.

@anemonie: I think it was part of a train, since we were near railroad tracks. I also like that it shows off our goofiness. . .we’re special. ;)

@paw: I’m SO glad you noticed the TOMS! They’re very special to us.

@Mrs. Pony: Ahhh thank you, lady! It’s definitely not my everyday get up, haha.

@pashimea: Thank you for sharing your opinion. It’s actually funny because I kind of agree with you, however, if I’m being 100% honest I am often borderline ‘trashy’ (I’ll even say that for a good night out with the girls/at the clubs, I go borderline provocative) – it’s just part of who I am and how I like to dress, so at least these pictures are indicative of who I really am! ;)

@Mrs. Armadillo: Hahaha, the green door works magic. ;) Thank you!

@TexasAggieMom: Thank you so much! I was so pleased with my hair as well. I wish I could frame the majority of them, but I feel like that’d be a little narcissistic. ;) It’s so nice to have such fun, fresh and professional photographs of the two of us, though!

@Mrs. Sunhat: I agree, there was a decent variety and there was a picture for every ‘mood’, so to speak – fun, serious, ‘formal’, etc. Thank you for the compliments. :)

@SuperDuperBrit: I am SUPER partial to the bum-grabbing photo as well. I mean, we’re a young enough couple that I feel like it’s flirty and fun (like us! haha). Thank you for the compliments, especially on my hair! :)
