Videography was something we really, really wanted; it was just a matter of affording it. We even considered splurging on it, for a bit, but we couldn’t find the right videographer. That was until Groomsmen P pointed us in the direction of Estudio 54 and the talented David Gutierrez, and it was just perfect.
We have a 50-minute-long video with our entire ceremony and the best of the reception, but we also got this fantastic condensed version of the day:
*There’s a translation below, for all the non Spanish speakers.*
GM P: I got to live when that boy asked that girl to be his girlfriend…
GM L: I’ve seen them grow up, I actually grew up alongside them. I had that blessing.
GM J: …’Cause you’ve taught me, you’ve taught us, you’ve made us grow as persons, mature more than anything and I am very grateful.
Miss Toadstool: We’ve grown together these nine years. I am who I am now because of your presence in my life. You make me a better person, you make me want to be better, you make me stronger, you’ve made me smarter. I can’t imagine a life without you. I love you.
Mr. Toadstool: In those nine years, those two kids grew up together; they were friends, companions, teachers, and apprentices to each other, they were guides and supports and even partners in crime. I want to promise to always love you and respect you, and make the impossible possible to make you happy.
GM L: And even then, Luis (Mr. Toadstool) sang her a song, that every time I listen to it, it reminds me of you two…
I am more than pleased with this video. For all those bees considering videography, if it’s in the budget, do it! Even if you’re considering the semi DIY route, do it! And if you really want it, try to make it happen because, as fantastic as your pro pics are, there is something about having it in motion; the reactions, the laughter, my mom yelling at my cousins for putting my skirt over Mr. Toadstool’s head…it is all better on video.
Did you/are you considering videography for the big day? Would you consider the DIY route or would rather have it professionally done?
