Our Hotel Suites

When I last went to look at the hotel, I went in the evening. It was all a bit dark and I didn’t get to see my room bathed in glorious daylight.

But last weekend we went back! This time we went to look at pretty much all the rooms in the hotel to decide which ones we’d like to have for our families.

All photos personal

Jack had actually never been to the hotel before (good thing he trusts my judgement!) and he was very happy when he stepped inside. We had a sneak peek of the bar while we were waiting…

And where Jack’s family would be having breakfast the next day…

Then we went straight up to my room because I was eager to get another look at it!

Swoon! Ahhh it’s even more beautiful than I imagined!! So much better in the daylight!

Jenni2

The huuuuuge bay windows and those chairs! I can totally see myself sitting there when getting my makeup done…

Jenni4

This is the connecting room where I can shove my stuff. And the hallway. I will have my own hallway. Awesome.

There’s a TV to keep the BMs entertained/an escape for the BMs when I’m annoying them with my stupidly giddy happiness. Chief may just lock herself in there for some peace and quiet.

Ahhhhh…that looks heavenly. I have visions of sitting in bed at 6:00 AM writing up my last post as a Miss. You can just picture me there when you read it and think wow…she must be really comfortable right now.

We ended up upgrading Jack’s room. We thought all the suites were on the first floor, and we didn’t want him staying on the same room as me for fear that we’d bump into each other! But when we were looking around, we came across the Kent Suite on the second floor.

Matt1

It had the contrasting black wallpaper that I absolutely loved and a bath in the window! (Not that we’ll be using it…although maybe he’ll want to the night before to de-stress and rid himself of nerves.)

Matt4

The black wallpaper and smaller windows did make this room darker, but I’m no expert photographer and I think Luke will do just fine! And it photographed well when I took pictures that weren’t facing the windows.

This room also had another added bonus that we hadn’t planned on. Have you noticed that there are three doors in this room? One entry door, a door to the bathroom, and a door to…

Matt3

Matt2

Yay! He gets a room-within-a-room, too! I’m wondering if we should get his brother to bring his X-Box or something so he has something to do in the morning. Boys get bored easily, don’t they?

We had a look at a few more rooms and chose the ones our families would be staying in so we were all together. I’m so happy this worked out so well!

So now I can sit back and relax, knowing the rooms are now taken care of. Another thing crossed off the list!

@sarahbeth_: it’s not, actually! I did lust after one hotel but it cost £490 a night! this one is £145 which is stupidly cheap. especially in this city and especially for this kind of room. i did a million happy dances when i found this place!

@Asia: I know this sounds really ridiculous – but I have this really positive attitude towards all of this. I sort of imagine things and they come true. Some may call it being lucky, others may call it ‘the power of attraction’, but when I visualise something it usually happens. Maybe I just don’t settle for anything less? I don’t know. But yes – positive thoughts go a very very long way :)

I am crazy about these rooms.

I don’t know the guys in your wedding, but if they are anything like mine I’d say no to the Xbox the day of the wedding. That’ll mean they’ll be significantly late, if they remember to make it at all.

@Miss Jackrabbit: Ok. It’s time to start giving the power of positive thoughts a try….. I feel like it made a big difference when I booked my wedding venue, so maybe I’ve just been a little too down in the dumps since then. :)

    Good advice!

Also, there is a real chance of us both being on our Honeymoons at Disneyworld at the same time. I guess it is a small world afterall?

@Asia: OMG no way! We’ll be there 22nd – 6th! Just in time to get a little Food & Wine Festival action!

@cosmo_gmr: It’s the Royal York hotel in Brighton :) Only an hour away from London – I definitely recommend coming to visit!
