When I last went to look at the hotel, I went in the evening. It was all a bit dark and I didn’t get to see my room bathed in glorious daylight.
But last weekend we went back! This time we went to look at pretty much all the rooms in the hotel to decide which ones we’d like to have for our families.
All photos personal
Jack had actually never been to the hotel before (good thing he trusts my judgement!) and he was very happy when he stepped inside. We had a sneak peek of the bar while we were waiting…
And where Jack’s family would be having breakfast the next day…
Then we went straight up to my room because I was eager to get another look at it!
Swoon! Ahhh it’s even more beautiful than I imagined!! So much better in the daylight!
The huuuuuge bay windows and those chairs! I can totally see myself sitting there when getting my makeup done…
This is the connecting room where I can shove my stuff. And the hallway. I will have my own hallway. Awesome.
There’s a TV to keep the BMs entertained/an escape for the BMs when I’m annoying them with my stupidly giddy happiness. Chief may just lock herself in there for some peace and quiet.
Ahhhhh…that looks heavenly. I have visions of sitting in bed at 6:00 AM writing up my last post as a Miss. You can just picture me there when you read it and think wow…she must be really comfortable right now.
We ended up upgrading Jack’s room. We thought all the suites were on the first floor, and we didn’t want him staying on the same room as me for fear that we’d bump into each other! But when we were looking around, we came across the Kent Suite on the second floor.
It had the contrasting black wallpaper that I absolutely loved and a bath in the window! (Not that we’ll be using it…although maybe he’ll want to the night before to de-stress and rid himself of nerves.)
The black wallpaper and smaller windows did make this room darker, but I’m no expert photographer and I think Luke will do just fine! And it photographed well when I took pictures that weren’t facing the windows.
This room also had another added bonus that we hadn’t planned on. Have you noticed that there are three doors in this room? One entry door, a door to the bathroom, and a door to…
Yay! He gets a room-within-a-room, too! I’m wondering if we should get his brother to bring his X-Box or something so he has something to do in the morning. Boys get bored easily, don’t they?
We had a look at a few more rooms and chose the ones our families would be staying in so we were all together. I’m so happy this worked out so well!
So now I can sit back and relax, knowing the rooms are now taken care of. Another thing crossed off the list!
