Ahhh the sparkler exit. I like the sparkler exit—the photos look soooo good. Sometimes you see the amazing pro photos and think “It’ll never look that good in real life,” but then you see photos like Mrs. Wallaby’s guest photos of the sparkler exit and yeah…it does look that good in real life.
I can’t do the sparkler exit, though. I’m not allowed anything flammable in my venue. Boo.
I spent sooooo long thinking about what we could do.
More bubbles? Confetti? Ribbons? Streamers? Ahhh the list is endless! But that endless list is pretty much full of things that don’t emit light! We’ll have to do our “grand exit” outside in the streets, and confetti, ribbons, and streamers may not look so great on camera.
I actually wasn’t even thinking about our exit one night when I was surfing the net for costs of things I was soon to be buying, and then suddenly it hit me.
Um….we’re buying GLOW STICKS for our ’90s band. Why didn’t I think of this before?!

I’ll have to talk to Luke, our photographer, about achieving this result (as some photographers have been unable to capture the lights), but I’m confident he’ll be able to do it!
Did anyone else do glow sticks for their exit? Do you have any tips for great results?
