There’s no way around it…wedding mail is exciting. Whether it be catalogs tempting you with their favors, welcome bags and bridal party gifts, a cute little Moo card package, or Brian, the UPS delivery guy, delivering a gift from your registry, it’s all exciting because it’s wedding related. Duh! Sometime in the middle of April (read: not early enough to get invitations or gifts from the registry) I got the most exciting wedding mail to date.

YES! My dress was in!! Not only was the dress in, it came in a whole five weeks early!
Naturally, I got the letter after hours, so I anxiously waited for 10:00 AM when they opened, eventually got through to someone, and scheduled my appointment. As we were driving there I was so, so nervous. I thought, what if it doesn’t fit? What if I don’t like it anymore? No, seriously, what if I don’t like it? Last time I tried it on was six months ago, and it wasn’t my dress. This is my dress. You know, the dress I’m going to go from Miss to Mrs in. Remember how I used to work at a bridal shop and I couldn’t get this dress out of my head, so I just called and ordered it over the phone? Well, I started having some serious doubts.
Finally, after a two hour drive we arrived…the consultant brought out my dressed, I slipped in…
…and it fit like a glove! To top that, it was better than I remember it being. I felt…beautiful. They jacked me up, and not only did I feel beautiful, I felt like a bride. And then I had an “Oh sh!t” moment again. I’m going to be a bride.
Oh, you actually thought I would show a picture? I don’t think so! Less than two months until the big reveal!
Did you get nervous going to see your dress for the first time? Was it everything you remembered?
