Fun with My Ladies!

Remember the uber-modern hotel I mentioned before, where my ladies and I would lounge around with our room-service Starbucks the morning of the wedding? Well, about a month ago Momma Cruise Ship came to North Carolina, and on our trip to Asheville we booked one of the two remaining poolside rooms at Aloft Downtown Asheville. I cannot wait to stay here!!

Ready for a tour? Good. :)

Friday afternoon we will check in before rehearsal/BBQ-time.

Friday night/Saturday morning the girls and I will spend time in our poolside room that has retractable doors leading directly to the pool! (I didn’t even know hotels had that option!)

Originally my plan was to get a different room for Cruise and me for our wedding night as we don’t necessarily need the two queen beds, but the check out/in times weren’t going to work out, so after the wedding we will head back to the same (awesome) room”¦but not before the after-party at the w xyz bar!

The room was a little more expensive that I wanted (read: two nights is more than my rent for the entire month—thanks, peak weekend), but since we aren’t going to the salon to get ready I really wanted a great, fun space for us to hang out. Let’s face it, I’m going to have fun with my girls no matter where we are! Since we all love a good tropical drink poolside, though, I figured this was the perfect getting-ready space for us!

Anyone else splurge a little bit on the “getting ready” space? Was it worth it?

We have an Aloft hotel in town and it’s not nearly as cool as yours! That place looks like fun on ‘roids.

that place looks kicking! I bet you will have so much fun. I splurged on our getting ready space too. It’s a loft that is a stone’s throw away. My sister (and matron of honor) is due to give birth about 2 weeks before the wedding (she wasn’t pregnant when we booked the venue) so I wanted a place close by that her and her husband could be with the baby.

We’re planning on splurging on the pre- and post- wedding accommodation. We stayed at the hotel for our three-year anniversary and it is just divine with the best health club and spa.
