Remember the uber-modern hotel I mentioned before, where my ladies and I would lounge around with our
room-service Starbucks the morning of the wedding? Well, about a month ago Momma Cruise Ship came to North Carolina, and on our trip to Asheville we booked one of the two remaining poolside rooms at Aloft Downtown Asheville. I cannot wait to stay here!!
Ready for a tour? Good.
Friday afternoon we will check in before rehearsal/BBQ-time.
Friday night/Saturday morning the girls and I will spend time in our poolside room that has retractable doors leading directly to the pool! (I didn’t even know hotels had that option!)
Originally my plan was to get a different room for Cruise and me for our wedding night as we don’t necessarily need the two queen beds, but the check out/in times weren’t going to work out, so after the wedding we will head back to the same (awesome) room”¦but not before the after-party at the w xyz bar!
The room was a little more expensive that I wanted (read: two nights is more than my rent for the entire month—thanks, peak weekend), but since we aren’t going to the salon to get ready I really wanted a great, fun space for us to hang out. Let’s face it, I’m going to have fun with my girls no matter where we are! Since we all love a good tropical drink poolside, though, I figured this was the perfect getting-ready space for us!
Anyone else splurge a little bit on the “getting ready” space? Was it worth it?
