It took my post about my somethings for me to realize that I hadn’t talked to you about the jewelry I’ll be wearing on our wedding day. (Also, as an update, Sparky’s mom offered to lend me her mother’s ring. I am SO excited because it is GORGEOUS!).
I knew pretty quickly what kind of necklace I intended to wear because I knew that I wanted a sweetheart neckline. Since I wanted a really classic look, I knew I wanted pearls. On one of my days out dressing shopping, BM Apple Pie lent me her faux-pearl double-strand and it so happened that was the day that I found my dress.
Not long after, I went searching for a double strand for myself and I turned immediately to one of my favorite websites: Etsy. I quickly stumbled on a fabulous shop called Divine Jewels and it was there that I found my necklace.

It was exactly what I wanted: a simple double-strand necklace with no bling or frills. Classic and infinitely re-wearable.
I decided to pursue this shop for my earrings, too.
Initially, since I went so simple for my necklace, I thought that I wanted something a bit more flashy for my earrings.

I actually wore these earrings several times while I was dress shopping and it’s a good thing I did so because I noticed that I was starting to really dislike them. Not because they weren’t beautiful—they are gorgeous—but because they were heavy on me and pulled my earlobes down. Definitely not cute.
So, I decided to keep looking and finally decided on something more classic:

I also have a bracelet, but I found that at Claire’s or Icing or some such place and I don’t have any pictures of it. Suffice to say: it is faux-pearl and has some sparkly (rhinestone, I assume) accents. Since I don’t really intend to wear it again, I don’t feel bad only spending like $8.00 on it.
The only real hitch came when Sparky mentioned something along the lines of me wearing the strand of (real) pearls he had given me for our fifth anniversary. He wasn’t really invested one way or another, but I decided to give it a shot to see how I felt about it.
Pardon the terrible cell phone pictures
After trying them both on, I decided I still preferred the double strand, but I’m open to hear if you all feel differently!
So there you have it—my day-of jewelry. I can’t wait to have everything all put together on our rapidly approaching wedding day!
