Sooooo…remember when I got to 100 days and I was all…

Well, that sort of bombed a couple of weeks later. A million things came up. Suit drama, Grandma isn’t coming to my wedding drama, HOLY CRAP I’M HOOKED ON BREAKING BAD AND CAN’T STOP WATCHING IT drama. (No spoilers, please—I’m only at the beginning of season four.)
Well now I’m getting married next week so I have those last-minute bits to do. Bits like, PAT testing my fairy lights, and buying last-minute honeymoon essentials (I may or may not have lost my expensive sunglasses two weeks ago…) and getting all our decorations packed so they’re ready to go.
But all this has made me so so pleased that I was prepared. Most of the DIY projects were finished months ago. Our honeymoon is 100% planned and booked, and tickets are in my gorgeous new travel wallet, and almost all our vendors are paid.
I’m stressing about making sure boxes are labelled “hotel” or “venue”—not worrying about my bridesmaids’ dresses arriving on time, which is unfortunately a situation a close friend of mine is going through right now.
I’m glad that I can worry about only being able to watch one episode of Breaking Bad tonight instead of two. I was always going to find things to be stressed about, right? Might as well stress about trivial things instead of important ones.
I will always stick by the six Ps. Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. That has been my motto throughout this whole thing and I’m happy to say it’s worked out really well.
My aim is to be 98% ready by next Monday. I want to not be stressed in that last week so I can get some proper sleep and look forward to it more than anything.
How did you find the last two weeks before your wedding?
