We had dancing throughout our reception. We started by inviting everyone onto dance floor after our official dances and continued to play a few songs between the courses of our dinner. After cutting the cake, we went straight to music for the rest of the night.
We gave our DJ Marek pretty much free rein on choosing the music for the night—after all, that’s what he does for a living! We did give him a list of songs we really liked in advance, including a few as must-play favorites. In addition, we requested that he play more old-school rock ’n’ roll at the beginning of the evening for the “older crowd.”
Highlights of our playlist included:
Rock & R&B:
BM K & boyfriend J
I really enjoyed being able to dance with all my good friends at our wedding. It was amazing to have a party (in our honor) where I got to have all my favorite music played. It was an awesome experience and I can’t wait to have a celebration like that again sometime!
Almost like in high school with BM K
Getting down low with BM P
Our photographers, Amy and Kate, also managed to shoot some interesting dance moves:
BM K & boyfriend performing creative dance moves
Mr. Bracelet & GM G inventing the “Segway” dance move
I’m quite sure my brother and I are dancing to Aladdin’s “A Whole New World” (his favorite Disney movie from our childhood).
Singing along to “Drops of Jupiter”
What’s your favorite song on your playlist? Was partying with your best friends nostalgic?
