Back in April I posted some pictures of my hotel suite and said that I would most likely be sat in my bed at 6:00 AM the day of my wedding, writing my last post as a Miss.
I woke up at 5:50 AM—it’s 6:00 AM right now and here I am, doing exactly that.
The past couple of days have been…interesting. A few little hiccups have occurred. My parents got stuck in traffic and missed our rehearsal so only Jack & I, Chief, and Chatty Man were in attendance. There may have been an oversight about the choir and I’ll only know when I get to the church today if we have them or not. That beautiful view from my hotel room? Yeah…the Brighton Japan Festival is on so the entire park is covered with marquees and huge banners. Oh, and our photo booth may only be operational from 8:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM because there has been an issue with the staff.
But you know what? It doesn’t matter.
After the events of last week I’ve sort of become less stressed. Because, really, what could go wrong that’s worse than what’s happened already?
Que sera, sera.
I am a calm bride.
…I may want to revisit that sentence come 1:00 PM today. But as of right now, as the sun is rising and that glorious orange is streaming through the windows, I’m calm. I’m relaxed. I’m chilling in bed on the internet, wondering if I should wake up Chief with a cup of tea or let her sleep.
But before I sign off for three weeks and have the best day of my life, followed by possibly the most epic honeymoon in the world—I would like to share with you one tiny picture.
This is what we did yesterday. I am so excited.
See you on the other side!
