What’s one of your favorite photographs from your wedding and why? Please include the photo in your answer!
Your responses were overwhelmingly beautiful. Thanks to everyone for sharing your fave wedding photos! See them all below!
Glasgowbound (wedding date: August 12, 2013)
This is is my favorite. I love that it’s black and white. I love that we’re almost kissing, but not quite. I love that it’s a full length shot so you can see my dress is tea length. I love that you can see the cool architectural details of where we got married.
Ah, my favourite photo. Perhaps not every bride’s ideal wedding shot, but it sums up our night—lots of laughs and “shaking it off” when things didn’t go perfectly.
Krispi (wedding date: July 27, 2013)
This was taken during our first look. The photographer was peeking through the curtains into the room we were using for the bride’s room.
malibukayla (wedding date: June 28, 2013)
I don’t have one favourite…but in the name of the game, below is the picture I used for our thank you magnets…so I guess this would be the most seen picture by our guests…hence a favourite.
lolot (wedding date: August 24, 2013)
I haven’t gotten all ours back yet, but I love this one. We both look so happy and I like the intimacy of the shot. It was also the very first pro photo I saw, so I think I have a soft spot for it.
terpalum10 (wedding date: August 23, 2013)
This is tough, but if I have to pick *one* favorite, it’s this one.
I love it because it was completely unplanned (as all of our best photos were), it’s black and white, it portrays our venue and love for the water, it showcases my husband’s strength and the lace hem of my dress that I so loved, and, most of all, it’s tastefully passionate, if there is such a thing. I’m having it blown up on a 16 x 24 canvas for our bedroom.
subola (wedding date: September 29, 2013)
I have so many favorites, but I’ll play—here’s one I’m in love with. I love this photo because I feel like it captured such an intimate moment between us—we escaped to the roof of our venue during the reception to get some pictures alone. I also love that it’s black and white. I can’t wait to get this on a canvas print for our bedroom.
hogoboom2012 (wedding date: August 11, 2012)
I love this shot. A friend took it for us on her iPhone, but it’s one of my favorites. It wasn’t planned or anything. The bridal party was getting ready for the next photo, and she snapped this one of DH whispering in my ear.
sn2bmrsmntgmry (wedding date: September 29, 2012)
I love this picture because we look natural. It was taken after the ceremony and we were just about to head into the reception. I also love that is shows my bracelet, hair flower, and veil. (And my DIY poms are cute too.)
Mrs. Dragon (wedding date: September 22, 2012)
We didn’t have very many posed photos, especially of me and Mr. D. It wasn’t really a planned decision, but we got off to a late start and it turns out that he didn’t feed his groomsmen all day, so people were pretty hangry by the time we were done with the ceremony. So, my favourite is a candid—and it’s one with some pretty candid emotion, too!
We were both pretty anxious about the whole ceremony, being up in front of a ton of people. Our photographer snapped this when we were FINALLY done with all the scary stuff and just signing paperwork in my mom’s living room. We were so relieved, and it was nice for it to just be the two of us (plus photographer) for a moment or two.
dancingfox (wedding date: July 27, 2013)
This is my favorite! I love just absolutely everything about it! The shadows, the background, the slight wind moving my dress, even my DH’s cowlick!
Mrs. Funnel Cake (wedding date: October 29, 2011)
I have many favourites from our wedding, but I’ve been using this one as my lock screen for the iPhone for almost two years now, so I think it’s probably my favourite because I look at it several times every day without getting tired of it.
I’ve always thought this photo looks totally magical and that we look like a prince and princess kissing for the first time. A surprising number of people ask to look at my lock screen because it’s a striking photo and they are always surprised when I tell them it’s really me and my husband!
NowDontLetsBeSilly (wedding date: August 17, 2013)
My favorite photo doesn’t have my husband in it, which I feel a little bad about, but I looooove the composition, how we’re waiting for the ceremony to begin. I had no idea the photographer was even taking any photos, and love my momma in it and our adorable flower girl. It just really strikes me!
Irish Terrier (wedding date: April 27, 2013)
It’s difficult for me to say why exactly this photo is my favorite. I guess it’s because both my husband and I look good in it…at the same time, which rarely every happens when we’re in pictures together. I also really like the look of the bridge in the background.
mtbikelover (wedding date: August 31, 2013)
One of my favorites was from the photo booth. Everyone had left, and my DH had already changed into street clothes. We decided to play in the photo booth for a while. I like it because it shows us being goofy and having fun, which is what we wanted from our wedding.
whoa_its_ash (wedding date: August 3, 2013)
This is my favorite photo because it looks like a fairyland. It also look super romantic…my FI isn’t generally romantic at all, ha!
Mrs. Doily (wedding date: March 24, 2012)
I always loved this one. We slipped out from our reception and took it.
MstoMrsS (wedding date: July 13, 2013)
This is a picture of our “first look” on our wedding day. My groom was so overwhelmed with emotion. So endearing. It was such a wonderfully emotional day for us, and I think this picture really captured the start of it.
And here are our happiest faces! Right as we were leaving the church as man and wife.
Cory_loves_this_girl (wedding date: February 23, 2013)
It’s hard to choose, but I think this is my favorite picture of us. It’s during our first dance, and we both just look so happy. It sums up how amazing the whole day felt.
Miss Mauverick (wedding date: August 26, 2012)
We tend to give each other (and our kids) two thumbs up all the time. So naturally, after the ceremony ended and we’d walked down the aisle together, our photographer wanted a candid shot of us and this is what we both did:
I love this photo just because it’s…neat. We trekked down to the barrel room at our venue and our photographer had her second shooter crouched behind us with a remote flash. It turned out awesome!

flying_hearts (wedding date: October 12, 2013)
We are still waiting on our pro pics, so here’s one of my favorites from our guests. I think it’s right after we were officially pronounced husband and wife and my little brother was reading a really sweet quote about walking through life hand in hand.
I just love our relieved, “Oh my goodness, after 8.5 years we finally did it” looks.
Mrs. Camera (wedding date: September 1, 2013)
I can’t wait to share more of my photos during my actual recaps, but I wanted to show you one of my absolute favorite photos from my wedding—my mom, who has spent the summer battling breast cancer with one complication after another, whispering in my ear how proud of me she is and how glad she is that through everything that happened this summer, she’s around to see me get married. I tear up every single time I look at this photo.
lorelai (wedding date: June 17, 2012)
This one’s probably our favourite. It’s just a really honest moment that shows how much happiness and love we felt that day.
PacificMrs (wedding date: May 3, 2013)
I have quite a few favorites, so it’s hard to choose! However, this one definitely takes the cake.
So, I was cracking up beyond reason because as we were lying down in the sand, DH was brushing sand out of my cleavage that he said was “bugging him.” It was a hilarious moment. Our photographer just about died laughing.
This—it was the end of the night, we were both SO tired, and it was SO cold at this point…but I had to have my outdoor night shots, and I’m so glad we did—because this shot is just perfect. I love the color, the silhouette of us outside our venue. It was the perfect way to end the night with our photographer!
Cummins59 (wedding date: April 13, 2013)
This picture is hands down my favorite! The tree behind us is called the wedding tree because that’s where outdoor ceremonies take place. And look at the lake! Smooth as glass! This was a totally candid shot as well!
sarahuccs (wedding date: July 13, 2013)
Amazingly, we were not posing at all. After the ceremony was over, we walked down the trail along the creek and looked up to see our families acting crazy happy as they enjoyed the overcast but super nice day in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. We were both wearing traditional Vietnamese garb.
The picture is one of my favorites because it captures everything we are and love: nature and the outdoors.

Mrs. Wallaby (wedding date: November 2012)
This is my absolute favorite moment from our wedding day, and I’m so glad it was captured on camera—at the end of the ceremony, after we were pronounced husband and wife and shared our first kiss, my husband swooped me up in his arms and carried me back down the aisle. Everyone was completely surprised, and we were filled with so much love and sheer giddiness. I will never, ever forget that moment.
TorontoBride2be (wedding date: July 27, 2013)
If I HAD to picture a favourite, it would be this one (it was hard to decide between this and the one of H and our pups). We just look so happy and enthralled in each other.
Mrs. Mouse (wedding date: September 11, 2009)
I go through phases with different photos that I love the most. Right now, it’s this one. I love that we’re looking at each other so intently. This was during our first look, so right before our ceremony. I’m still so glad we did the first look: It was calming to the nerves! (Plus, I loved my bouquet and was sad I didn’t get to spend more time with it.)
KatieBklyn (wedding date: June 15, 20130
Definitely this one:
I love that our photographer caught that moment—we were both just so happy. My husband leaned over to whisper a joke in my ear, and I remember being so happy knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with this amazing, smart, funny guy who would always be able to make me laugh.
Mrs. Genie (wedding date: July 7, 2012)
Um, with two weddings, do I get to pick one from each? This set of photos was unexpected and so playful and really brought out the fun in this wedding day for us! This one always makes me smile.
bmo88 (wedding date: August 10, 2013)
By far my favorite is the one below. I think it really captures how close and loved we felt that day. We are also pretty reserved, mild mannered people, so this photo really resonates with our personalities. I actually just hung up a canvas version of this in our room.
elysion (wedding date: August 17, 2013)
This is one of my very favorites. It showcases part of our unique venue and some of the fun elements of our wedding, and I just love how we are looking at each other!
carmelbride103 (wedding date: October 3, 2010)
These are two of my favorites. I love the first because it truly captured our joy. The second is just a perfect photo. I love the sun behind us!
canuckandakiwi (wedding date: September 20, 2013)
This because our smiles were biggest during our candids when we were just looking at each other. The unfortunate thing it is also my worst pic in terms of getting close to wardrobe malfunction territory! Although maybe that is why DH is smiling!
ecjohnson (wedding date: July 13, 2013)
Ohh wow, it is so hard to pick just one! This is one of my favorites because it showcases our venue and is a sweet moment before the fun of the reception began. Plus, I love the way my dress looks and you can see my husband’s cute socks!
MrsPaulsBabyBallerina (wedding date: July 2012)
Love this one for the candidness of it and the relaxed look on my face. (Sorry, it’s blocked for privacy reasons.)
I love love this one because it’s our first kiss and you can see the joy on our officiant’s face.
I love this one because it shows how protective my DH is of me.
pengoala (wedding date: September 4, 2011)
I think this will forever be my favorite photo from our wedding day. We got to the “Mr. Pengoala, will you take Miss Pengoala to be your spouse?”
There was this horrible, awkward silence as I looked at DH focusing intently on our officiant friend. And the next words out of his mouth were this:
“Wait, that was it? That was my line? You were supposed to say more! You know, like in the movies? OH CRAP, that’s me. I mean. I do.”
This is the moment that followed. It’s such a great representation of our lives together: We mess up a lot, but we end up figuring out a way to laugh about the bloopers!
As a bonus: This photo followed afterward (me saying to our guests after being asked if I’d take him as my spouse, “Well, now I feel like I should take my time!”)
TheHoneyWajr (wedding date: October 6, 2012)
This is hard…but I do have one. Although it’s quite different from all the other photos on here, as it doesn’t show any faces!
I just love every single thing about this photo. I love how it shows my fluffy dress, I love the colors, I love the leaves on the ground. I wear flats like 90% of my life, and my husband has a thing for patterned/colorful socks—he never wears plain ones. It’s funny because this photo, even though it doesn’t actually show US, really captures our personalities. I’m very reserved and kind of introverted, whereas he is very outgoing and loud, so I just think it’s really cute and funny that even the way we naturally placed our feet demonstrates that.
This photo has been my desktop background at work for a year and I haven’t tired of it—people ask me all the time if it’s from a magazine too, ha!
Mars62312 (wedding date: June 23, 2012)
I love the way he’s looking at me. Plain and simple! And it really shows the beauty of my mom’s veil.
This is one of my favorite photos (and Mr. Sword’s all-time favorite photo) because it represents the mood of our wedding: dramatic, romantic, and loving. It’s also a beautiful shot and the last one we took all day! Fun fact: My friend H is hiding behind us, holding a light. This was totally posed but it definitely worked out!

Emma20130601 (wedding date: June 1, 2013)
I have two favorites—I really like the first one because it’s just really relaxed and we’re both just so happy! I swear, I couldn’t stop smiling the whole day and this reminds me of how much fun it was.
As for the second picture, I LOVE my DH’s eyes in this one. It’s a great formal one that we got and my makeup had faded a little bit, which I was happy about because I really did not like it the day of the wedding.
stefanielovesjamie (wedding date: December 30, 2012)
I love this one. This was near the end of the night and we were both exhausted, but still so very happy.
