Holy moly, time really does fly in the last few weeks. By this time next week, I’ll be a married bee and on our honeymoon. Even as I type that it doesn’t seem real. I apologize for being absent last week on the blog, but even with all my lists, prep, and intentions I was still (and am still!) up to my eyeballs in tasks that need to be completed! People warned me about the craziness of the last week and they were NOT kidding.
So here’s what I’ve been up to!
Mr. Orchard and I got our marriage license from a lovely lady at city hall who informed us that any marriage license she authorized lasted no less than 50 years so we had better be ready to be stuck together. So cute!

I got down to business and finished up some loose ends, including our beautiful programs (as much as I want to share them RIGHT NOW I want our guests to be surprised by them, so more on those after the wedding!), our cake pie plates and tiers, our amazing wedding flowers, guestbook, table signs, redoing my “Eat, Drink, and Let’s Get Married” sign (thanks, hive!), and Mr. O built our photo booth backdrop (thanks, Mrs. Campfire!!!). I’ve also enjoyed throwing my bridal power around a bit.

I also had to test several bottles of pink colored wines, sparkling wines, and champagne to determine the best one for our signature drink (SUCH hard work). The wine helped make it easier to write our wedding weekend timelines ;), which have received great feedback so far!
So proud of my pretty timelines! / Personal photo
In addition to all that, Mr. Orchard and I have started working on our first dance choreography—I’m pretty sure being a Zumba instructor, a past member of several high school musicals, and an avid fan of Dancing with the Stars (the logic I provided Mr. Orchard with) in no way qualifies me for this job, but it’s what time and the budget will allow for! Worst case scenario, we’ll just sway like many couples have done before us!
I’m really looking forward to sharing our flowers with you all in my next post. It was the most time consuming project I’ve had, but it is also my absolute favorite!
