My Complete Look: Part I

As you may remember, I have already chosen my gorgeous dress. But I also have my complete look ready! Here is the rundown.

Hair

I always wear ponytails—I love them and I feel super comfortable in them. So, it is only fit that on my wedding day I wear one. But it will be a fancier pony. I want to have a bit of volume on top, and I want the actual pony to be full and a bit curly, just like these inspiration photos.

I am pretty sure I will need to wear some sort of extensions, since I want it to be really full. I will have to ask the hairdresser about that.

Makeup

Regarding makeup, I reaaaally want to wear some color on the lips. I love to wear bright reds and I always pictured myself wearing red at my wedding. But lately I’ve been wearing an orangey-pink lipstick I got from Sephora. It is Sephora Rouge Shine 24, and I love it! It looks coral, and I think it brings out the color of my eyes.

So now I’ve been seriously considering wearing coral.

Since I am determined to wear colored lips, I think everything else should be more subtle. Early in my planning I pinned this photo. I just love this whole makeup look.

Nails

And finally, nails. I also want them to be coral—can you tell I am a bit obsessed?? Ha. Something like this would be great.

I have no clue as far as wedding makeup goes. I’m wearing glasses (either my red pair or my blue/beige pair) so I’m afraid that a bold lip (like the awesome coral you’ve chosen) will be too much.

I’ve picked my dress & my shoes. I’ve picked my hair, and I’ll most likely go with my go-to spring/summer months nail color which is a bright orange/coral color.

I want a defined eye, but nothing too smokey. And I’d love to have bright lips, if I can. I’m a fellow coral junkie.

After seeing all of those coral pictures, I think I’m becoming a little obsessed too! I love the inspiration picture with the bright lips and subtle everything else. I have no idea what my look will be like – I’m urging my hair to grow faster so I can do an updo, but I don’t want extensions so I’m not sure what’ll happen!

@nadnuk: I think you can totally wear colored lips, but with your blue/beige glasses, so that that the color of your lips don’t compete/clash against your red ones… Well, know that I think more about it, maybe your the reds/corals will complement each other! You definitely need a trial! Ha! I guess I was no help at all!! But I agree, nothing to smokey on the eyes!

@EllEmm005: Hello fellow coral loving bee! I know! It is such a beautiful color!!! <3 How long is your hair know? Some years ago I took hair vitamins, I think they where a mix of vitamin E with some other stuff and they really helped, perhaps you could check if you can find some? I don't remember the name, and they were a mexican brand, but try to find something like that!

These sound so perfect, I’ve that red-lipped bride pinned for so long, even though I’m not planning on bright lips. It’s just so pretty! I also love fancy pony tails, but never like how they turn out on me. I’m sure yours will be fabulous!

Love the ponytail! I have no clue what I’ll do–beauty is not my thing so I’m avoiding it. :)

@Miss Weather Vane: I’m going to look into Vitamin E and hair vitamins, thanks! I got my hair cut last spring in a very short asymmetrical cut – it looks really good with my face, but not so great for pulling it back! The longer side is about chin-length now and the shorter-side is just past my ear. Hopefully I can find some hair vitamins to help!

The last picture…you should do your ring finger nail as the stripes!

For the nails, I also love the last photo – anything with an accent nail wins in my book!
