Woot! Pantone released their 2014 color of the year: Pantone 18-3224 Radiant Orchid. Coming off of 2013′s pick of Emerald (which still remains one of my favorite colors to wear), this is a big departure, and I’m still warming up to it, to be honest! Not quite lavender, not quite fuchsia, Radiant Orchid is somewhere between purple and pink and looks gorgeous thrown into a bold color mix.
We’ve got some fun ideas for incorporating this year’s hot color into your wedding’s color scheme. The Dessy Group has a cool new Pantone Wedding color planning tool out this year called the PANTONE WEDDINGâ„¢ 2014 Wedding Guide, boxing up their popular color Chiplettes as boxed sets containing color families in 4 groups: greens, blues, reds, and neutrals.
Radiant Orchid is in the blue boxed set; we plucked the Chiplette and went to town mixing and matching some fun wedding color palettes!
