So, guys, I’m sitting in the Crowne Plaza, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that in nine minutes it will be midnight of the morning of my wedding day. The last three days have been hectic and busy, but gorramn, it’s been 110% worth it.
I have the most amazing support team in.the.world. People have been rallying around Mr. Big and me, and I really, really, really cannot believe how incredibly lucky I am. I don’t know how I’m going to thank all the zillion and one people who have been so über supportive, but I can try.
To all of my fabulous, fabulous friends—the bridal party, the attendants, Australians, and New Zealanders alike—thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart. You guys have been amazing to both Mr. Big and me, and I really, truly cannot tell you how blessed I am to have you guys in my life.
To my family, I love you all. Words cannot express how lucky I am to have such a supportive group of people raise me and care for me like you all. Even though I can be insane at times, you put up with me and my madness, and for that I thank you.
To the hive. When I first started off with this venture—writing these posts and sharing my plans with the world—I didn’t think I’d ever be in the position to share my wedding on such a huge scale. You guys have given me advice when I needed it, you’ve made me laugh with the stories you share, and, most of all, you’ve been with me throughout the hectic last months of my wedding. So to the hive, thank you for being there, for making me chuckle, and for being just downright awesome.
And finally, to Mr. Big.
It’s been a year and a half of ups and downs. You are the reason we’re here today. You took the leap of faith and asked to meet me, and my life has been pretty much perfect ever since. You’ve kept me sane through the bad times, and laughed with me in the good. I love you, with all of the strength of my every fibre, right down to the very core of me. I cannot wait to meet you at the altar, to say “I do,” and to call you my husband.
We’re finally here, Mr. Big. Let’s get this shindig on the road.
