Unsinkable: The Cruise Ships Are Back!

Hey, hive! Long time no see! I know, I know—I’m seriously slacking. Despite my lack of presence here in the few days leading up to the wedding (and, let’s be honest, the several months following the wedding), I’m back…as a Mrs., even!

I wish I could tell you I’ve been anxious to get back, but that would be a lie. Not because I haven’t missed you all—I absolutely have—but because I’ve been struggling with how honest I should be with it all. After going back and forth over and over (…and over) and seriously debating whether or not I should even do recaps at all, I’ve decided I owe it to you all to not only finish my time here as a blogger, but to be honest.

Because as much as we all want our weddings to be perfect, they won’t always be that way. That being said, it’s important to roll with the punches and realize at the end of the day you’ll be married to that wonderful person standing across from you, and every single sleepless night, every single imperfection, every single stressful moment and all of those hours of planning will be worth it. Marriage >>> Wedding.

So, here go the Cruise Ship recaps—wonderful, awful, and everything in between.

Cheers to recaps! (and being married!)

Yay, welcome back! Good advice about keeping things in perspective. I always try to tell myself that the wedding doesn’t matter in the long run, and the marriage is what matters most. :)

I’m so so happy you came back for your recaps! And to be honest, I think it’s really important to share the awful along with the wonderful. As much as it sucks to have things go wrong, it just plain happens sometimes. It’s so helpful for planning brides to see that not everything is perfect, but that it still ends up okay in the end. Again yayyyy to the Cruise Ships’ return!

So glad you are back and congrats on being a Mrs.!! It’s definitely important to share your wedding story (regardless of the awful) because it’s actually surprisingly cathartic–and you may be surprised by how many people out there will be able to relate to what you have to say. And also no matter what, you still ended up marrying the love of your life, so in the end it all worked out :) Looking forward to seeing more pictures!

    Yay you’re back!!
I’m going to be honest, as a very loyal reader to all Miss and Mrs. bloggers… I actually think I (we) are very intrigued by the ‘awful’ stories and recaps. It’s like morbid curiosity. That sounds bad but there’s a LOT of sugar coating around here (it’s only natural to view our big day with rose-colored glasses!) …and in reality a lot of things at our weddings were disappointing… so it’s good to actually see a Mrs. blog about the good, bad and ugly. I hope I’m making sense and I hope you come to peace with stuff by venting!
    :)
